Seed to Sower Ministries

Seed to Sower Ministries Nurturing underserved children into abundant life rooted in Christ. Formerly Kids Alive DR |📍Dominican Republic, Asociación Vida Para Niños

Seed to Sower Ministries exists to equip children from under-resourced communities to experience transformed and abundant lives through physical, emotional, academic, social, and spiritual growth. In the Dominican Republic, many vulnerable children face futures shaped by generational poverty and limited access to education and opportunity. Through our 7 schools and 3 residential foster-style campu

ses, we provide holistic, Christ-centered care that addresses the foundational needs of a child so they can grow, learn, and thrive. Our programs nurture the whole child through:
• Academic education and tutoring
• Nutritious meals and healthcare support
• Emotional care and counseling
• Safe residential care for vulnerable children
• Mentorship, sports, and life-skills development
• Biblical discipleship and spiritual formation

Rooted in Christ and founded on biblical values, our goal is to see children grow into healthy, capable adults who know their identity in Christ and become leaders in their families and communities. Our Ministry Sites & Programs in the Dominican Republic

is now playing volleyball! 🏐

This school is tucked into the heart of a densely populated barrio, with no green space, playground, or athletic field. But a lack of space has never stopped this community from finding ways to play, compete, and thrive.

Staff recently launched an after-school volleyball program on the newly covered "basketball court"—a space measuring just about 30x30 feet. While most would see limitations, this school sees opportunities.

Santo Domingo North has a remarkable gift for maximizing every inch available, creating places for students to grow, build friendships, and have a blast along the way.

During summer breaks and vacations, children in our residential programs ( , , and ) are placed in approved foster homes, providing respite for the house parents who care for them year-round on our three residential campuses.

This year, our residential team worked closely with the Dominican government to certify seven Christian families as foster families, with additional families completing the ministry's training process.

These foster families are helping expand each child's circle of care and support while strengthening foster care opportunities in the Dominican Republic. As this program grows, the ministry continues partnering with government leaders to help shape a Christ-centered foster care framework to be used across the country.

Celebration of Learning at 🎉📚

Families were welcomed to ANIJA as each classroom shared presentations highlighting what students have learned throughout the year. From discovering God’s handiwork in creation and retelling the story of Genesis 1, to creatively repurposing recycled materials and celebrating cultures and traditions from around the world, every presentation reflected growth, creativity, and learning.

It was a joyful day of celebration as students proudly shared all they have accomplished this school year.

This past school year, our Dominican Republic ministries have grown and flourished in amazing ways! Throughout the summer, we'll be sharing highlights from the year as we celebrate all God has done and look ahead with anticipation to the year to come.

Across our schools, residential programs, sports ministries, and Independence Program, this year was marked by growth, milestones, and stories of transformation that reflect God's faithfulness in the lives of children and families. What began more than 40 years ago serving several hundred children has grown to reach more than 2,500 children and youth across the Dominican Republic each year.

We are getting close to the end of the school year! As the 2025/26 school year ends and our schools across the island prepare for summer, we praise God for the amazing ways He has worked in the lives of our students, staff, and communities across the Dominican Republic.

It has been a joy to have 5 students from Azusa Pacific University serving across our ministry sites this month!

From Santo Domingo to Monte Plata and now in Constanza, this group of energetic college students has been a blessing to our staff and brought joy to our students. From PE classes, helping facilitate standardized tests, painting walls, and serving breakfast to students — this group is ready and eager to jump into service.

Thank you, APU, for sending youth who love Jesus to bless our ministries in the DR!

Next week, the team will be serving in Jarabacoa, completing a 4-week span across our sites.

We love our teachers!

Every day, hundreds of men and women across the Dominican Republic walk through the doors of a Seed to Sower school to disciple, teach, and serve the 1,900 students in our care.

Some have been with the ministry for decades — from the days when classrooms were in one-room homes and children brought their own chairs. They are the heartbeat of this ministry.

Our teachers often forgo higher salaries in public schools to serve within the ministry. This year, we aim to raise their salaries through the Multiply Education Match. Give to the Match, and your gift will be doubled.

When teachers stay year after year, children grow in trust, and relationships build and thrive. Help us sustain and care for our teachers.

Every student at memorizes the “versiculo del mes” — verse of the month. 💙

Verse of the Month: Matthew 19:13-15

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

We pray that the seed of God’s Word grows to bear fruit in the lives of each of these children — that they would come to enjoy a vibrant, life-changing relationship with God through Jesus.
