School is officially out which means it’s almost time for… summer camp!

For many of our older students who are now young adults, summer camp remains their favourite childhood memory. It’s where they experienced their first time in a pool, and although it may be hard to believe the truth is for many it was their first time swimming at the beach. 🏊‍♀️🏄‍♂️ Many of these young adults believe so much in its goodness they have agreed to volunteer to make it happen!

This summer, we'll have learning & activity days at the school along with exciting outings including beach days, a trip to the waterpark, waterfalls, a visit to the top of Mount Isabel de Torres and maybe even a trip to Ocean World.

We need your help to make it happen!

Please consider sponsoring a student to attend summer camp. The cost is $65 CND/ $47 USD/ $2,800 Dominican Pesos. This covers the cost of all their activities, snacks, lunch, and transportation. *

Help Jusline support families affected by the devastating flooding in Montellano.

Jusline is a dedicated staff member at our school. She continually goes out of her job description to help our students in need. She regularly cares for children whose parents have been deported, and currently is sleeping on the floor so a young mother and newborn can have her bed.

Now, she’s leading an effort to help flood victims, including two of our own students who have lost everything.

Despite having very little, Jusline has already donated 1,500 pesos (about $25 USD/$35CND) Please, consider matching her gift.

We are collecting:
• Water
• Non-perishable food
• Baby formula
• Hygiene products
• Buckets/basins
• Cleaning supplies
• Towels & sheets

Our goal is to distribute supplies and cook a hot meal this Saturday (April 18).

Our students are now off school for Semana Santa (Holy Week), a time that is usually filled with family, tradition, and shared meals.

In the Haitian community, Easter traditions focus on church and family.

But for many of our students, this time of year can make them feel alone. Some are not with their families, and many rely on school not only for education, but for daily meals and a sense of stability. When school closes, that support is suddenly missing.

That is why we make it a priority to celebrate holidays together as a school family. This Easter, we will be hosting a special lunch so our students can still celebrate.

We also hope to send home Easter food packs for each student’s family. These packs will help ease the burden during the week off, ensuring that our students and their families have food on the table while school is on break.

Each pack comes to $40($30 US) and includes staples as well as traditional Easter foods.

Please considering covering the cost of a food pack. Our goal is 60!

Please help one of our school’s families in great need.

Schenaïka, Schenaider, and Johnderson’s family are going through one of the most difficult experiences imaginable. Their father has bone cancer and is now in the final stages of his life.

The family is in urgent need of support including help with rent, food, medications, and, sadly, future funeral expenses.

For this we need your help to bring some holiday joy to our students and their families!

We have two goals.

➡️The first goal is to raise enough funds to provide a full Christmas meal for all 200 students in our school!
For just $6 (or $5 USD), you can provide a child with a festive Christmas meal at school. Your contribution will help us prepare a nutritious, delicious plate complete with meat, rice, vegetables, salad, a drink, and a small holiday treat.

➡️Our second goal is to provide each of our students with a holiday food pack to enjoy with their families. While it will have Christmas foods, it will also include staples such as rice and beans. The cost of a food pack is $40 ($30USD)
