Change Your Perspective: One Mountain at a Time 🏔️
Have you ever felt so much hurt and disappointment that it seems like the air is being sucked out of your chest?
Ever felt like you’re trying your best and it seems that your head is just barely floating above water?
In recent conversations that I’ve had, I’ve learned that a lot of people are going through the same season with different obstacles attached. Sadly, so many are suffering in silence because we’ve been conditioned to not talk about these topics.
Those feeling are real. Those moments are valid. But they don’t have to be permanent.
You’re still breathing, and well, if your head is floating above water: you haven’t drowned yet… there is still life in you!
You still have a purpose!
While there is a time and season for everything, the ‘Keeper’ of time and seasons is an expert when it comes to due dates and results!
He understands what’s being worked out of you and what’s being deposited into you in those “ugly” moments.
Sometimes pain is necessary to produce results that will last and be useful. Just like the pruning, intense pressure, beating, and crushing that goes into making the anointing oil; you can’t skip a step and expect to receive the same results. Without the necessary steps, the product won’t be functional to its original design.
We try to play “God” unknowingly sometimes by “protecting” ourselves from the things that hurt us without knowing that we are just prolonging the process, and in reality, causing more damage.
What I’ve learned and experienced is though there may be pain, though there may be disappointment, though I may not understand it all right now; the beauty is that I don’t have to go through it alone. The author and finisher of this season is in control and He is walking me through it, to my expected end.
While one day you may feel like you’ve almost reached the top of the mountain, and tomorrow you may feel stiff, as if there is no more mobility in your body or mind… start climbing again. But this time, change your perspective.
