🎄✨ Sharing Hope This Christmas ✨🎄

Light a Candle DR carried out the distribution of 200 food boxes for Christmas dinner, in a joyful and festive atmosphere filled with the true spirit of the season. Each food box is designed to feed families of 4 to 6 people, bringing relief and hope to households that lacked the resources to celebrate Christmas.

Our director, Sandy Yan Meristal, shared the heartfelt desire that families who had lost hope of preparing a Christmas dinner could gather around the table and celebrate together thanks to these food boxes.

The activity included a moment of prayer for each family receiving a box, as well as a time of fellowship where beneficiaries enjoyed tea and hot chocolate, shared Christmas songs, and spent meaningful moments with the Light a Candle DR team.

🙏❤️ We extend our deepest gratitude to every donor, church, organization, and individual who contributed resources, time, and love to make this activity possible once again. Thank you for being part of this mission and for helping us shine a light of hope in so many lives.

Light A Candle DR keeps spreading hope and health to those in need. This time, we had the joy of welcoming a group of pharmacy students from Kansas City, USA, who joined our team for a mobile clinic in Community 80.

The day included medical consultations, free medicines, health talks, and compassionate care for every patient.

We are deeply grateful to these future health professionals for sharing their time, knowledge, and hearts with our community. Every act of service is a candle that brings light and change. 💛✨

Light A Candle DR continúa llevando esperanza y salud a quienes más lo necesitan. Esta vez, recibimos a un grupo de estudiantes de farmacia de Kansas City, Estados Unidos, quienes se unieron a nuestro equipo en una clínica móvil en la comunidad 80.

Durante la jornada se ofrecieron consultas médicas, entrega gratuita de medicamentos, charlas educativas y un acompañamiento lleno de amor y compasión.

🌟 A Day of Hope in Batey Canotillo 🌟

The Light A Candle Dominican Republic Foundation, together with City of Hope, carried out a powerful evangelistic invasion and community outreach that filled Batey Canotillo with love and light. 💛

Throughout this impactful day, we shared the message of the Gospel, conducted HIV prevention tests and educational talks, distributed condoms as part of the preventive education program, and delivered food supplies and shoes for children. 🙌

Every smile, every word, and every act of service reminded us that hope is still alive and that God’s love is shown by serving and caring for others. 💫

La Fundación Light A Candle Dominican Republic, unida a la organización City of Hope, llevó a cabo una gran invasión evangelística y operativo comunitario que llenó de luz y amor al Batey Canotillo. 💛

Durante esta jornada compartimos el mensaje del Evangelio, realizamos pruebas y charlas de prevención del VIH, entregamos pr*********os como parte de la educación preventiva, además de raciones alimenticias y calzados para los niños. 🙌

Cada sonrisa, cada palabra y cada gesto solidario reflejaron que la esperanza sigue viva y que el amor de Dios se demuestra también sirviendo y cuidando la vida. 💫

Last saturday, we experienced an unforgettable afternoon celebrating the International Day of the Girl with more than 350 girls full of energy, dreams, and the desire to discover who they truly are.

Under the theme “Breaking the Mold – I Know Who I Am”, we talked about identity, value, authenticity, and purpose.
We laughed, reflected, learned, danced, sang, received gifts, and honored women who have broken molds in our society.
