Ohoy everyone ❤️⛵️!

The weather system called Levante, that gave us a few days in Sines, has also changed the weather in the Atlantic and made it a little more unpredictable and caused waves from many different directions. For us we have decided to let weather be our guide and now it says that we should explore the amazing Algarve coastline ❤️⛵️⚓️🍹🌴. It also means that we can see all of mainland Portugal before leaving and that means a lot to us. We didn’t plan on this but after having the talks, it seems so right ❤️. We have sailed a lot with long stretches that need to be timed, but now it’ll be great to go from place to place when we feel like. Yesterday sums it all up; a tiresome engine sail in very uncomfortable waves followed by high wind power sailing for the last hours. It took 15 hours of lookout for fishing buoys and hard sailing, so now anchor and light winds will be our reward ❤️⛵️🙏

Hi from us on board of Tia Lena! 🌍⛵️

Yesterday while still on the beautiful city of Sines, we had the wonderful visit on board of Luisa’s cousins, Luis, Ana and their mother Teresa, biggest shore fans! What a delightful surprise! We spoke and laugh endlessly for many hours, including having lunch at the café bar Sausalito, that has wonderful food and atmosphere. We only had to say goodbye to walk directly for a siesta! And that’s another surprise for our us, regarding our legs, we could go up and down some of Sines stairs and enjoy the beautiful surroundings around the bay 🏖️

So with full hearts we left Sines this morning and are heading to Algarve. Yes, maybe Lagos or even Portimão. The Atlantic by now is very crispy, the waves although not too high are coming in short periods, and there is not much wind, which makes the sailing unpleasant. The weather is pushing us to the golden Algarve. We then answer: “so be it!” 🙌🏼🙌🏼🥰🥰⛵️🧡💛

Good morning almost afternoon everyone! 😁🥰

We arrived last night at the beautiful marina of Sines. All is well with the skippers!! 😎😎

We are getting ready to explore this bay and to do boat work while the Levante, a 2-4 days easterly winds from Gibraltar, wouldn’t let us sail to Algarve anyway.

Last night we had again “choco frito”, a speciality that we already had in Sesimbra. We love to repeat what is amazing. Portugal is so about good fish 😋😋

The wind and tide became to much to lie on anchor, so we are now in Sesimbra Marina 🫡😘. All is well and we will get some fish for dinner ❤️🥳

We are in Sesimbra after a crazy ride 🚀😳🫡⛵️❤️. Much more wind than expected and Tia Lena proved what a mighty little boat she is 🤘🙏⛵️. We are resting safe on anchor and all is well 😘😘

We are sailing again after some really heartwarming and beautiful days in Oeiras ❤️❤️❤️. We go to Sesimbra to anchor, see the beauty and get ready for the big push to Sines and Portimão ⛵️❤️. Otto-To is having a great debut and holding the course in light winds and rolling waves 🫡. Very happy with our new crewmember 🥳
