Arnold is 23-year-old young man from the plains of Oloitokitok, Kenya. He got an opportunity to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2024 as part of the annual event organized by Kilimanjaro Initiative. He was later selected to participate in the PDAid Foundation mentoring programme.

After completing the mentoring programme, Arnold was offered a PDAid Foundation scholarship and began studying Salesmanship at KIPS Technical College, officially embarking on this exciting new journey in January.

Once he finishes this course, Arnold plans to advance his education by pursuing a Certificate in Business Management, and we are excited to support and follow his journey!

Reagan is 26 years old and lives in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2023, he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro as part of the annual event organized by the Kilimanjaro Initiative. After the climb, he was selected to participate in the PDAid Foundation mentoring programme.

After finishing the mentoring programme, Reagan was offered a scholarship from the PDAid Foundation to pursue a Plant-operator course at Sensei Institute of Technology, officially starting this exciting new chapter in December 2025.

Reagan aims to use the skills learnt to find a good job and elevate the lives of his family, and we are thrilled to support and follow his journey!

Yesterday marked the start of the 2025 climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, organized by Kilimanjaro Initiative and proudly supported by the PDAid Foundation.

This yearโ€™s climb highlights the urgent need to protect Natural World Heritage sites, aligning with the International Year of Glaciersโ€™ Preservation.

Leading the way are inspiring youth climbers from Kenya, Tanzania and the USA (some pictured here) and are joined by polar explorers, glaciologists, environmentalists and representatives from both the private and public sectors, including PDAid Foundationโ€™s Founder, Dennis Lundรธ Nielsen. Their shared journey is a powerful reminder that solidarity is essential in safeguarding our planetโ€™s most precious places.
