Odense Host Programme is a part of International Community Odense and is run by City of Odense. We match international newcomers with local volunteer hosts who can help you get a good start on your life in Odense and make you feel at home in our beautiful city. Odense Host Programme has two types of hosts:
A carrer host who can introduce you to the Danish work mentality and job market. You and yo
ur host will be matched primarily on common professional backgrounds. A culture host who can introduce you to Odense's cultural life and local community. You and your host will be matched primarily on common interests. You can join the program if you have been in Denmark for less than 3 years, reside in Odense (or are affliliated with a Company based in Odense), speak English or Danish and plan to stay in Denmark for a minimum of 1 year. You will be expected to meet with your host 1-2 times every month during a period of six months and possibly spend time on assignments in between meetings. Odense Host Programme cooperates with Association New Dane who is in charge of the volunteer hosts. You can find more information about Odense Host Programme on our webpage odense.dk/host
