Human Practice Foundation

Human Practice Foundation Human Practice Foundation supports quality education and local income generation in Nepal and Kenya. Many will never return home.

Globally, over 490 million children under age 10 are illiterate and around 665 million people worldwide live below the poverty line defined by the UN. Consequently, a great number of developing countries' youth are unemployed and sometimes lured to foreign countries where they often end up working under inhumane conditions. This is a vicious cycle that Human Practice Foundation is determined to br

eak. Human Practice Foundation is a Danish organisation committed to improve the educational opportunities for children and facilitating sustainable income generating activities in developing countries. We do this by creating the good cycle. It begins with learning to read, write, count and speak English. These basic skills empower children to one day get a decent job or even creating their own business. Education is the first step, and the second step is creating employment opportunities. A job allows people to contribute to the family household, to the community and to society. In turn, financial stability makes it that much easier for the next generation to attend school and keep the good cycle going. All of this helps secure long-term economic growth. Our work is based on a 100% model where all donations go directly to our projects. This is possible thanks to our Founding Partners, who show their dedication and trust in our mission by covering all our administrative expenses. We are driven by compassion and dedication to our work. Some describe it as a fire that keeps burning until we reach our goal - to break the vicious cycle. Our vow is to turn things around and to make life better for those most in need. The more schools and the more jobs we create, the greater are the chances for an increasing number of young people to rise out of poverty and take control of their own lives. We ask you to join us on the journey towards a decent future for the next generation of the world’s poorest.

10 years ago, we started what would become one of our most important partnerships with Honoré Fonden.

From the beginning, it was clear this would be different. A foundation willing to take risks, to fund innovation, and to stay committed over time, supporting our work in both Nepal and Kenya as it evolved and grew.

A decade later, that partnership has, among other things, contributed to the construction of 18 schools, reaching more than 12,000 students. It also supported the startup of our coffee programme in Nepal, benefiting more than 1,400 farmers, and has helped more than 5,000 families increase their income through our entrepreneurship programmes.

But more than anything, it has allowed us to keep building, testing, and improving year after year.

We’re incredibly thankful for the journey so far.

From rural Nepal to the streets of Copenhagen.

You may have seen 12-year-old Sanisa, a girl from Taplejung, featured in our campaign far from home.

Sanisa is one of 48,358 children in Nepal who have benefitted from our projects.

This is a glimpse into her life today.

All of last week, our work was featured on a billboard along a major Danish highway. A strong reminder that meaningful progress happens when the right people come together with purpose. This highly visible space helps raise awareness of our work and mission. Thank you to for donating the space as part of the Drops In The Ocean initiative and to our creative geniuses and .

Strengthening Inner Strength in Favrskov Municipality

We are very pleased to share the great news that we have received support of DKK 1.5 million for Inner Strength across five schools in Favrskov Municipality.

This support enables us to further strengthen our work and create even greater impact for the children and young people we work with and now also in Jutland.

We look forward to turning this support into concrete results and to following Inner Strength closely as it becomes part of everyday life at the schools.
