Insero Air Traffic Solutions, our SILVER CORPORATE MEMBER, has some great news to share:

Insero Air Traffic Solutions delivers Naviair’s new information system.

The information and data management system Insero AviInfo will support air traffic control operations across several Danish airports by providing real-time data and easy access to critical aviation information.

The system will be implemented at Copenhagen, Roskilde, and Billund airports, providing air traffic controllers in towers, approach, control centres, as well as other operational users, with easy access to real-time information such as flight plans, meteorological data, maps, AIP procedures, and flight data. The purpose of the system is to consolidate data from multiple sources into a single intuitive user interface, enabling efficient workflows and improved overview for its users.

Delivery of the system follows an EU tender process, which Insero Air Traffic Solutions won based on the ability to meet Naviair’s operational and technical requirements...

EDAY - Strausberg Airfield

EDAY is located approximately 30 km east of Berlin, just one kilometer from the Strausberg-Nord S-Bahn station (S5 line).

The airfield was founded in 1927. From 1935 onward, it was used almost continuously for military purposes. Since 1992, it has served civilian air traffic. Over time, the entire airfield has developed into an attractive and modern facility in Strausberg.

With 45,000 aircraft movements per year, Strausberg Airfield is now one of the largest in eastern Germany. While the grass runway is primarily used by the local gliding club, aircraft up to 8,000 kg take off and land on the concrete runway (both 1200 m long). The airfield is mainly used for business traffic, flight training by the local flight schools, and recreational flying.

Strausberg Airfield is now one of the largest in eastern Germany. The airfield grounds include a modern fuel station, several hangars, the "Doppeldecker" restaurant, and the former control tower, which has been converted into pilot accommodations, in addition to the control tower built in 2001.

The airfield regularly hosts trade fairs, events, and air shows with flight demonstrations. Visitors can sometimes watch balloons or zeppelins take off and land. The airfield has also served as a backdrop for film shoots and professional photo shoots on several occasions.

This year one of IFISA Seminar highlights will be an informal dinner held on the second day of our seminar at Strausberg Airport.
