We mean the right to make decisions about one’s body and how this connects to dignity, freedom, and justice. We mean exploring how power shapes our relationship with our bodies, and examining how stereotypes about young women influence their lived experiences.

Here's a little look at the (East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline) campaign, the villains, the realities faced on the ground by those most affected and the layers of solidarity action that have taken place at local and global levels — and what you can do.

Community organisers resisting EACOP in Uganda and Tanzania have called for an escalation – an internationalisation of resistance that brings the weight of the global movement together to apply coordinated pressure on the companies behind destructive projects like these, as well as the financial institutions that fund and insure them. The StopEACOP Coalition is inviting global struggles to join a Global Week of Action from 23 – 30 May 2026.

As a frame, a tool for activists, it helps us to understand how overlapping identities—such as race, class, gender, sexuality, and ability—shape lived experiences of discrimination and privilege.
