We live in a world of increasing turmoil, where profits are prioritised over people, where nature is plundered to enrich the few and violence is profitable to the ruling classes and corporations. Here's a little look at the (East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline) campaign, the villains, the realities faced on the ground by those most affected and the layers of solidarity action that have taken place at local and global levels — and what you can do.

Community organisers resisting EACOP in Uganda and Tanzania have called for an escalation – an internationalisation of resistance that brings the weight of the global movement together to apply coordinated pressure on the companies behind destructive projects like these, as well as the financial institutions that fund and insure them. The StopEACOP Coalition is inviting global struggles to join a Global Week of Action from 23 – 30 May 2026.

Many of us are feeling it, across the world, the weight of violence, repression, and uncertainty.

From wars and occupations to rising authoritarianism and everyday injustices in our communities, it can be difficult to know where to place our attention, or how to respond.

In this edition of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹, 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 - 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱. We look at self and collective care as part of how we sustain resistance, and we explore feminist thinking as a way to better understand power, and to act with intention in the world around us.
