What makes a Public-Private Partnership in agricultural education actually work? 🥬

We looked at 16 successful models across Europe to find out — and pulled out the top 10 findings for anyone building or running a PPP focused on Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA).

🤓 Top finding: knowledge — not funding — is the real currency, and real-life, on-farm learning beats classroom theory every time.

“When we talk to students and farmers in Denmark about the green transition, most agree that they, – and the entire agricultural sector, plays a crucial and important role. But when asked how they can act more climate-smart, many become less clear. We need to give students and farmers specific s...

📅 Dates have been confirmed: 2–4 November 2026!
Three days. One big question: how can AI actually help us farm smarter and more sustainably? 🤖

Using AI to spot patterns in your field data in minutes, building training materials in a fraction of the time, or fine-tuning irrigation and resource use as conditions shift. That's the kind of practical skill this course is built around — from core AI concepts to real tools for precision farming, climate adaptation, and using AI safely and responsibly.

🤓 This October 2026, the Denmark CoVE will host a three-day workshop exploring how artificial intelligence can support smarter, more climate-resilient farming practices.

Designed for educators and staff, the course blends field experience with hands-on experimentation: from a real-world Climate Smart Agriculture case study, to practical work with AI tools and data-driven decision-making, and finally to the creation of tailored teaching materials and applied solutions. 💻 📈

By the end, participants will have built their confidence in how digital tools can be meaningfully integrated into both teaching and agricultural practice.

Soil health is at the heart of regenerative agriculture 🌱

On 31 August–1 September 2026, our Danish Centre of Vocational Excellence ( ) will be bringing together scientific insight and hands-on experience to explore how healthy soils can shape more sustainable food systems.

From research perspectives to concrete teaching examples, and a field visit at Kalø Organic Agricultural College with a regenerative farmer, the programme connects knowledge with real-world practice — while creating space to exchange ideas with peers across Europe.

📣 New opportunity for job shadowing!

Forests are more than landscapes: they are complex, living systems shaped by planning, technology and care 🌲

Participants to this job shadowing will gain practical insight into forest management, specialised machinery, and the economic and environmental value of forestry, including its essential role in carbon sequestration.

Designed for professionals looking to broaden their perspective, the experience also creates space for exchange between agriculture and forestry, opening up new ideas for innovation and more sustainable approaches to land use.

☀️ With summer arriving early this year and temperatures already reaching over 30°C in France and the UK 🌡️, the urgency of adapting to a changing climate feels increasingly tangible.

From 15–17 September 2026, we will be exploring how agrivoltaics can help bring together renewable energy and agriculture in rural landscapes, during a study visit with the CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) in Sicily, Italy.

🌿 Participants will engage in hands-on learning at an experimental agrivoltaic plant, explore system design and farm integration, and visit a local agribusiness to see how these systems can strengthen resilience, diversify income and support more sustainable land use.

The programme will also connect technical learning with the area’s socio-economic heritage, including sites linked to Danilo Dolci and his legacy of participatory development and community empowerment.

🙌 🌍 in action: peer visit in Poland!

Last week, the Polish CoVE welcomed partners Maurilio Caracci and Jorgen Pedersen for a peer visit focusing on quality monitoring and exchange of good practices at the Zespół Szkół Centrum Kształcenia Ustawicznego w Wojsławicach.

📚 The group observed a lesson led by Tomasz Stefaniak, testing precision agriculture materials developed by the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences.
🌱 They went to Stacja Doświadczalna Oceny Odmian w Sulejowie for a focus on drought-resistant crop varieties.
⚡ They also visited the biogas plant Energia OZ and took part in the school’s Open Day.

This type of activity are valuable steps in strengthening cooperation and sharing innovation in climate-smart agriculture.
