The questions are ready! Here are some instructions about tomorrow's competition:

There will be 6 teams!

1. Presentation time!Each team introduces itself!
2. There are 6 bowls and each one has questions from a different country. Each country needs to have a representative who has to withdraw a question from the first indicated bowl!
3. FIRST ROUND: The team has one minute to discuss the question and answer! After 1 minute the answer should be stated by the team’s representative. You can decide who’s your team representative for each round.
4. SECOND ROUND: All the team representatives can choose a question from the indicated bowl at the same time! All teams have one minute to decide on the answer and after one minute no discussion is allowed in between the team members. You will hear {TIME IS UP!!!} once the one minute has passed.
5. MEGATOUR: If there are teams with the same score after the second round there will be a set of 3 new questions for the leading teams.
Each team will be given the same questions.
Each team has now 2 minutes to decide on the answer.
The winning team is the one answering the most of the questions correctly in the time given!

P.S: THE WINNING TEAM WILL GET FREE BEER IN THE FRIDAY BAR AS WELL AS THE MOST CREATIVE TEAM!

Hey guys! Here are some guidelines for the Country competition!

In terms of the questions:
1. You can submit- yes/no questions
-multiple choice
-fixed answer questions

F.ex:
Which of these areas is a Danish Province ?
a. Iceland
b. Greenland
c.Shetland Islands
d.Mauritius

or

Is it true that the type of government of Denmark is Parliamentary Democracy?
Yes/No

Where does Dracula's myth come from?

DON'T FORGET!You have to email both the questions and the answers by Monday the 15th of April!

For the country presentation:
Before the contest starts you will have to make a short presentation about your country and your team (aprox 1-2 minutes) stating why do you think you're a great nation!

For the "team song":
Find a cheering-up song for you team. It can be a "Hip-hip Huraaaahhhh" or something specific to your country (the anthem/funny little songs)

Country competition!

Hello awesome people! Are you ready for the next event that International Commitee is preparing for you?
This time we plan a "Country competition" =a quiz where people from the same country team up and compete against other countries on topics of general knowledge about all the countries involved in the competition
We want to identify and award the most culture knowledgeable international student community!

Date: 19th of April
Place: AU-Herning Canteen (Friday-Bar)
Time: 13:00

Prize for -the most creative country
-the most knowledgeable international community
-beer&diploma for the winners

How does it work?

At the beginning each team should make a short presentation(aproximately 1 minute) about their country and why they think they are awesome!
Each team should have a cheer song that represents them!
The number of participants per country team should be maximum 10 and at least 5.
Each country has to submit 15 questions to: [email protected] before 15th of April
We will add all the questions in a big bowl& each team has to draw 10 questions
You have 45 seconds to answer a question(you can ask your friends if you don't know the answer)
If scores are equal there will be a final round with questions added by the International Committee

Also it would be great if you could bring some Danish flags for your desk or dress-up as Vikings, bring Dutch wooden shoes, French baguettes or whatever represents your country in a cultural way.Get creative!

SO WHY? This Country Competition will :

-prove ifyour country is the best
-facilitate cross-cultural communication
-let know more about other cultures
-give the opportunity of checking out smart chicks and dudes from other countries!(Isn't that amazing?)

Are you ready for the next one?
On 1st of May we'll be back on track with another bombastic "Cook&Talk" event!

Therefore, we need 2 different international cooks to represent their kitchens and to suggest some "yummy" recipes for the night!
You will, of course, be helped to cook by a great team of food lovers!

Afterwards we can all eat together and have a fantastic international dinner in the Canteen!

It seems that we will really have to squeeze tomorrow night with such a huge interest and excitement about FRENCH night! It will be cozy! Although deadline for registering is over, everyone is of course welcome to come and feel some French spirit!
