🇺🇦INDEPENDENCE DAY 🇺🇦
That is “just” what Ukraine wants. To still be a free and independent country.

The Danish Parliament🇩🇰 is waving the Ukrainian flag today 🇺🇦

The frontline in the fight for freedom and democracy runs through Ukraine, and of course Denmark is supporting Ukraine with funding and equipment (and thanks to all who has and still are supporting in one or another way).

Ukrainians are everyday listening to air alarms, some have no homes, some are giving their lives for their freedom — and for the freedom of Europe.🕊️

It deserves the deepest respect 💪🇺🇦

The ambulances have now been successfully delivered in Lviv.

Very soon they will enter service supporting medical evacuation and emergency care in active operational areas.

One of the ambulances will support Viktor Nyzovtsev, a combat medic and sanitary instructor from the 260th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade “Khortytsia”.
His unit operates in the Sumy region, where the ambulance will be used to evacuate wounded personnel from combat zones and provide urgent medical care.

The second ambulance will support Illia Radzivil, Head of the Medical Point in the 59th Separate Assault Brigade’s Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Battalion.
His unit operates in the Kharkiv region, providing frontline medical support and evacuation of injured soldiers.

These teams operate under extremely demanding conditions.
Access to a reliable ambulance is not just equipment - it is time, mobility and survival.

Being able to personally deliver the aid in any shape or form makes a difference for me - because in that way, we are also able to personally thank the recipients for their brave and tireless efforts to fight for the future of Ukraine - the future of Europe!

We have now passed the Ukrainian border.

So far the convoy has run smoothly, and the cooperation between the volunteer drivers has been fantastic.

Humanitarian logistics can sound abstract when discussed from afar. But standing here - with ambulances ready to cross into Ukraine - it becomes very real.

Every ambulance we deliver becomes part of a medical evacuation system working under extremely difficult conditions. When someone is wounded, having a vehicle available at the right moment can literally make the difference between life and death.

Now we continue towards Lviv, where the ambulances will be handed over and integrated into operational medical units.

Everyone on this convoy is volunteering their time.
Behind the convoy stand companies and supporters who believe that help should be practical and direct.

As the pictures clearly show, spring has come to Ukraine. And just as the rising temperatures brings energy and hope for the Ukranian people, i hope our mission will do the same!

And so the journey continues...

Some journeys matter more than others!

20 ambulances.
20 companies.
40 volunteer drivers.

One shared mission: Drive Hope Forward / Kør håbet frem.

Today I’m heading out on the road again - this time driving an ambulance convoy to Ukraine together with an dedicated group of volunteers.

The convoy is part of the Drive Hope Forward / Kør Håbet Frem initiative, where companies help finance the preparation, equipment and transport of ambulances that are personally delivered to Ukrainian rescue units.

In total, 20 used but fully operational ambulances donated by Falck are being refurbished and driven to Ukraine.
Several companies have stepped forward to support the mission - including FOSS, Nemco Food Equipment, Lund&Bendsen A/S, Aller Media Denmark and more.

Through the support of donors and partners, Project: Help Ukraine NOW has sponsored two of the ambulances in this convoy, and those are the ones my co-drivers and I are now delivering to Ukraine.

Once delivered, the ambulances will support both civilian and military rescue services, where the need for evacuation vehicles remains urgent.
For me, humanitarian work is about more than coordination - it is also about showing up. Delivering the ambulances ourselves helps ensure that the vehicles reach the right people and can begin saving lives as quickly as possible.

Behind every ambulance are people who chose to act - volunteers, companies and donors who believe responsibility should translate into action.
