🎉 CBSFilm wishes you all a Happy New Year! 🎉

Throughout December, we explored the cinematography of Spanish director Pedro AlmodĂłvar, moving from despair and nervous breakdowns to colour-soaked desire. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and stayed behind to talk, reflect, and share their thoughts.

We’re already planning what comes next, and we’d love to hear from you!

Feel free to share any feedback on what we’ve shown so far, and what kind of screenings you’d like to see more of in the year ahead 🎬💬

It’s a wonderful life (1946) directed by Frank Capra, is one of those classic black and white films that has a special way of touching people long after it ends.

Set in a small town called Bedford Falls, the movie follows George Bailey played by the amazing James Stewart, an ordinary, selfless man who spends his life putting others before himself.

Although George dreams of adventure and success, he sacrifices his own ambitions to help his family and community. This film reminds viewers that kindness matters and that every person’s life leaves an impact.

While it’s an especially heartwarming movie to watch around Christmas, its message about hope and gratitude remains meaningful at any time of year.

🎞️ If you’re looking for a sweet, wholesome and exciting movie that will leave you teary eyed yet smiling, I’d recommend adding this one to your “movies to watch” list.

Two decades ago, Jang Joon-hwan released Save the Planet! (2003), a genre-bending debut from South Korea that, at the time, failed to connect with its local audience. In 2025, Yorgos Lanthimos rebuilt that story as Bugonia, written by Will Tracey (Succession, The Menu) in collaboration with Jang himself.

The film follows Teddy and his cousin Don as they kidnap a pharmaceutical CEO named Michelle, convinced she is a disguised alien preparing an invasion. In an attempt to save humanity, they torture her while racing against the approaching lunar eclipse and what they believe to be humanity’s impending doom.

🏆 Now Bugonia is nominated for three Golden Globes 2026: Best Motion Picture, Best Female Actor, and Best Male Actor.

🍿If you are looking for a study break or a reason to step out into the cold, the film is still screening in cinemas around Copenhagen. Don’t miss out!
