Croquis night post - A wonderful evening unfolded as artists from the watercolour group, acrylic painters, and the wandering artists came together for a special cross-group life drawing event
Stepping away from familiar materials, everyone worked with pencil and charcoal in a live session with a croquis model. It was inspiring to see how each artist approached the same subject differently—some focusing on movement, others on detail or expression—each bringing their own perspective and energy to the page.
There was something particularly powerful about slowing down, observing closely, and capturing the human form in real time. Between sketches, conversations flowed easily, and the mix of groups created a natural exchange of ideas, techniques, and inspiration.
With snacks, wine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the evening became more than just a drawing session—it was a shared creative experience that brought people together across disciplines.
