Gender-based violence is often invisible, which can make the problem seem smaller than it is.

At our latest UNYA event, we discussed everything from digital violence and toxic masculinity influencers to loneliness, intersectionality, and the need to mobilise men as part of the solution.

UNYA Copenhagen’s Gender Equality Working Group is inviting artists and creatives to contribute to an upcoming event addressing gender-based violence through art and dialogue.

We are looking for creative works that reflect on themes such as gender equality, safety, resilience, solidarity, and social change. Through art, we hope to create a thoughtful space that encourages awareness, reflection, and conversation.

🎨 We welcome submissions in many forms, including:
• Visual art
• Photography
• Digital art
• Poetry or written pieces
• Mixed media

Selected works will be presented as part of our upcoming Art + Panel event, where art will accompany a discussion with experts and organisations working on gender-based violence and prevention.

📅 Expected event dates:
14 May or 21 May (Copenhagen)

📍 Location: Copenhagen (TBC)
