The United Nations Youth Association of Denmark is a youth-led organization promoting UN causes

UNYA DK is a youth-led, non-profit organization that works to promote and raise awareness amongst youth about the United Nations as well as UN affiliated causes, values and issues. In order to fulfill the goal of promoting and raising awareness on causes, values and issues related to the UN amongst youth, UNYA DK promotes meaningful youth participation and volunteerism in general. UNYA is an umbrella organization of the youth initiatives in Denmark related to the work, values and issues of the UN, and hosts partner organizations such as DanMUN and Think Rights. Volunteers in UNYA also organizes UNYA events, campaigns and projects in line with the goals of UNYA.

We have 4 different groups, that specialise on different topics and arrange events for members and the public in Copenhagen.

Before we log off for the summer, we just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has joined our events, volunteered, collaborated with us, or supported us throughout the year. 💙

Gender-based violence is often invisible, which can make the problem seem smaller than it is.

At our latest UNYA event, we discussed everything from digital violence and toxic masculinity influencers to loneliness, intersectionality, and the need to mobilise men as part of the solution.
