You know a challenge very well. You've got an idea to solve it. But how can you make sure it will work?
By testing it, learning what works, what doesn't, and which aspects need refinement. Getting feedback on your solution helps you challenge your assumptions, ultimately leading to more resilient, effective, and impactful outcomes.
This week, we wrapped up the Prototyping Program, stage 2 of LIF Launchpad, where 40 Teams spent 3 months of hands-on work to strengthen the solutions they developed during the UNLEASH Philippines Innovation Lab, ranging from improving mobility during flood events, to supporting smallholder farmers with better post-harvest systems, and reducing food waste through more accessible platforms.
Guided by mentors, they built prototypes and tested them in different environments, pushing their ideas step by step, using the feedback to pivot or go back to the drawing board, and learning and iterating along the way.
From sourcing materials to crafting and 3D printing, and testing across simulated environments, laboratory settings, and real-world field conditions, teams pushed their ideas forward step by step.
Not every prototype worked or every test went as planned at the beginning, but through continuous iteration, Talents gained pivotal feedback that guided them back to the drawing board to strengthen their solutions.
As we wrapped up our final workshop this week, Talents move forward with not only refined prototypes, but with new skills, insights, and the confidence to continue developing solutions that can create meaningful change.
