Save the date: 11 September, when we open the exhibition "Slowly the Tide Returns" by the Nordic artist group Tvaertimod / On the Contrary and you are warmly invited 🥂✨
Tvaertimod is a self-organised network of artists formed in 2024 out of a desire to create community and resonance across borders. The group consists of Ásthildur Jónsdóttir (IS), Mikael Lind (SE), Anne Munnecke (DK), Sigga Björg Sigurðardóttir (IS), Camilla Vuorenmaa (FI) and Kiyoshi Yamamoto (JP/NO).
"Slowly the Tide Returns" is the second in a series of exhibitions in which the group explores the ocean as material, memory, archive and a connecting space through collective and individual works. The first exhibition, "High Tides and Quiet Pools", was shown at in Helsinki in June/July.
And while we wait for the opening, don’t miss Kiyoshi Yamamoto’s fabulous new work for CHART in Tivoli Gardens, created in collaboration with Kari Aasen. It can be seen from today, 27 August, until 20 September.
"Slowly the Tide Returns" is kindly supported by: Augustinus Fonden, William Demant Fonden, Aage og Johanne Louis-Hansens Fond, Hoffmann og Husmans Fond, Dansk Tennis Fond, City of Copenhagen – Council for Visual Arts, and the Danish Arts Foundation.
