Volunteer at International Citizen Days, Copenhagen with InDe

International Citizen Days is coming up, and InDe is looking for volunteers to help make it happen. We are looking for volunteers to help run our stand on September 25 & 26 at Øksnehallen.

Whether it's an hour or a full day, we'd love your help on the ground, meeting internationals, answering questions, and being part of the team that welcomes people to Denmark.

And if you enjoy it? This could be the start of something longer. When you sign up, we'll also ask if you'd like to keep volunteering with InDe on future initiatives, no pressure, just an option if you want to stay involved.

International Citizen Days is coming — and we need you! 🙌

InDe will be at International Citizen Days on 25–26 September at Øksnehallen, Copenhagen — the one-of-a-kind welcome event built specifically for internationals in Greater Copenhagen.

We're looking for volunteers to help run our stand across both days:

📅 Friday 25 Sept — 10:00–16:00 (stand set-up + throughout the day)
📅 Saturday 26 Sept — 08:00–15:00 (may run slightly over, to help take down decorations)

If you can spare a few hours on either day, we'd love to have you on the team. It's a great way to meet fellow internationals, represent InDe, and be part of one of Copenhagen's best welcome events for newcomers.

Interested? Email us at [email protected] and let us know which shifts work for you and we'll build the schedule around who's available.

🏳️‍🌈 A big thank you to everyone who made this year's Copenhagen Pride so special!

At InDe, we're proud to share in the values Pride represents — celebrating difference, inclusion, and diversity — and proud to call a country home that embraces them so openly.

Watching our international community come together to celebrate and connect was a real highlight, and a reminder of why moments like this matter, especially for those building a new life far from home.

Thank you to everyone who made it happen. Here's to carrying that spirit forward, all year round. 🌈

Enough talking. It is time to do things together.

Yesterday marked the start of a shift in how we approach international talent in Denmark.

Last night, InDe and Danes Worldwide, with the generous support of Copenhagen Capacity, brought together key stakeholders working with international professionals in Denmark.

More than 70 participants gathered for informative panel discussions, structured networking, and conversations that continued long after the programme ended.

Two questions cut through the room:
👉 Are we here as a resource, or are we allowed to belong?
👉 International talent needs to be at the table where decisions are made.

These questions reflect a wider reality.

International professionals bring competences that are missing in the Danish labour market and contribute to economic growth. And yet, only around 50% stay after five years.

This is not just a labour market issue. It is about navigating systems, building networks, and feeling part of society.

At present, efforts remain fragmented. Many good initiatives exist, but they are short-term and disconnected. There is still no coordinated national strategy for international talent in Denmark.

What is needed is stronger collaboration to move from fragmentation to impact. Not only to attract talent, but to retain it, and to ensure people feel they belong.

There is also still widespread scepticism to address. We will not shy away from that conversation.

We look forward to turning this into action in the months ahead.
