Young Reporters for the Environment A FEE programme that promotes youth leadership through environmental journalism. YRE develops participants' skills and knowledge.

Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) is a network of passionate young people educating for sustainable development by producing, engaging, creative, environmental journalism. Coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), YRE is implemented in more than 35 countries worldwide and growing! Participants, aged 11-25, investigate environmental issues and report on them through w

ritten, photographic or video journalism, wherever possible proposing solutions. For example, giving them a deeper understanding of sustainable development, enhancing their communication and citizenship skills, individual initiative, team work, critical analysis, social responsibility and leadership abilities.

Join us at this year’s online FEE Education Awards Ceremony as we celebrate educators from around the world implementing Education for Sustainable Development through FEE programmes.

🌐 Passionate about sustainability, youth-focused education and digital communications? Join the Foundation for Environmental Education as our Education Programme Intern!

We’re looking for 2 Education Programme Interns to assist with the development of high-quality educational resources, strengthening our digital presence, and supporting our global FEE network. In this internship role, you’ll build competencies in communication, storytelling, stakeholder engagement and applied sustainability practices.

In this internship, you can expect:
- Engagement with FEE’s global network of member organisations
- Experience working across diverse cultural and national contexts
- Collaboration within FEE’s multinational team
- Structured supervision from a manager and support from a dedicated mentor
- A tailored work programme aligned with your learning goals and career ambitions
- Career development support, including mentoring, advice, and recognition

📍 Internship based in Copenhagen, Denmark (remote considered for the right candidate)
🗓 Start date: Mid-August 2026

✨ The wait is over... YRE SHORTLISTED ENTRIES announced! ✨

The entries submitted to the YRE International Competition 2025–2026 have now officially been shortlisted. The list has been passed on to the YRE International Jury and the brand-new YRE Youth Ambassadors Jury for review and selection of this year’s international winners. 🌐🎙️📸

A huge THANK YOU to every young reporter, educator, and National Operator who contributed to this year’s competition. Behind every entry lies creativity, dedication, critical thinking, and a strong commitment to a more sustainable future.

This year’s submissions once again demonstrate the power of youth-led environmental storytelling. Through articles, photos, podcasts, and videos, young people around the world are investigating environmental challenges, engaging with their communities, and sharing inspiring, solution-oriented perspectives.

Selecting the shortlist was not easy, the quality and passion reflected in all the entries were truly inspiring.
