This week we celebrated United Nations’ International Day of Cooperatives🤝

The roots of Denmark’s collaborative culture lie in the Danish movement, which demonstrates the power of pooling resources and knowhow to mutual benefit.

A good example of how can create more value with less input, and support the economy, is Danish biscuit producer Bisca, who teamed up with Danish Møn Brewery.

Together the two turned leftovers from b**r production into a key ingredient in a new line of biscuits.

Unfortunately, 1/3 of the food produced today ends as waste, counteracting the global challenge of undernutrition and hunger.

In 2016, Danish company Too Good To Go, began connecting consumers and restaurants, for the consumers to buy surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, at a discounted price. Today, Too Good To Go have saved more than 200 million surplus meals from being thrown away 🍲.
