New to Denmark? 🇩🇰 🎉 Joining an association is one of the best ways to meet people who share your interests 🧩

Last Saturday, we had the chance to pitch the Climate Fresk at the French Newcomers Day. It was a great moment to connect with people who just arrived in Copenhagen and are curious about climate action 🎯

💚 If you’re new here and looking to meet new people while playing your part in the climate transition, feel free to drop by at one of our upcoming events (link in comment) or simply leave a comment below to connect. We’d love to welcome you! 🌞

Our next Climate Fresk Workshop! 🌍

We’re proud to be part of the upcoming Climate Justice Days in Copenhagen, a climate festival in Nørrebro from September 15th to 21st.

This year, the festival will explore key facets of climate justice: sustainability, ethics, degrowth, and the fight against inequality at home and abroad. Expect inspiring talks, concerts, workshops… and of course, the Climate Fresk!

📅 When? September 17th
⏰ What? A 3-hour workshop to dive into the science behind climate change and discover how you can take action.

On Wednesday, 14 newcomer students joined us at DTU - Technical University of Denmark!

You know what? Every workshop is unique, as discussion and action are at the heart of what we do. This time, we especially enjoyed the incredible diversity of backgrounds in our international group 🌍 It was fascinating to hear about the already visible impacts of climate change in their home countries, from Portugal to South Korea 🔥🌊

This group was particularly motivated to tackle overconsumption in their daily lives, each bringing their own creative strategies💡 Sharing these ideas was inspiring for everyone. We had a lively discussion about how buying cheap often means low quality and ultimately less reliable over time.

We also explored one of the biggest challenges: how to influence others to act? It’s not easy, but together we can make real change happen 🤝 A huge thank you to all participants for your energy, insight, and curiosity, you always lift us up.

And of course, a big round of applause to Eléonore, Solène, Robin, and Robin for your excellent facilitation skills and for organizing this twice-yearly event at DTU 👏 Also, a warm thank you to DTU Culture Hub and Polyteknisk Forening for your trust and for welcoming us at DTU.

If you’ve ever thought about joining one of our workshops, this is your sign, come share, learn, and take action with us!

Klimafolkemødet: what a boost! 🚀

Last week, 6 of our volunteers spent 3 days at Klimafolkemødet in Middelfart, surrounded by climate-conscious people and activists. It was the perfect chance to better understand the landscape of associations and groups active in the Danish climate sphere 🌍

We also connected with organizations that could benefit from a Climate Fresk workshop, and we’ll definitely reach out to them!

What really inspired us was the level of engagement: even in tough times, so many people remain highly motivated 💪. And because participation was free, even small associations like ours (with very limited funding) could be present with the exact same booth size as big companies. That’s how it should be! 😀

Although we didn’t run a Fresk, our booth drew people in with fun experiments and games. Did you know an eggshell disappears in vinegar? 🥚➡️ A simple way to show how ocean acidification (caused by CO₂ absorption) harms seashells and the entire marine food chain. We also created a quiz game with balls to explore the biggest sources of Danish carbon emissions, it was a big hit with young visitors! 🧒

And here’s what struck us the most: children and high school students often knew more about climate change than many adults. They could even explain complex effects like the greenhouse effect with clarity. That gave us so much hope, and reminded us once again of how crucial education is in this crisis. 💡🌱

A warm thanks to Manon for making it all possible, for your great organizational skills, and for bringing together such a fantastic team of volunteers 🫶 Teddy Isabel François Anna Laure

See you next year !
