At Kvinder for Ukraine | Women for Ukraine , we are proud to support our members in taking part in international learning opportunities that strengthen both personal and professional skills.

Recently, two of our members participated in a training course in Poland, focused on Empathic Communication. Over five inspiring days, participants explored how to better recognize and express feelings and needs, practice active and empathic listening, navigate conflicts through dialogue, and build relationships based on trust, understanding, and respect.

The knowledge and experience gained during the programme will not only benefit our members personally but will also strengthen our work within the Ukrainian youth and community in Denmark, helping us create more supportive, inclusive, and resilient communities.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and bringing new knowledge back to our organisation! 💙💛

❤️ WARM HER COURAGE

Women for Ukraine and the Ukrainian manufacturer Miligus - Тактичний одяг are joining forces to launch the “Warm Her Courage” campaign.

Together, we aim to provide 20 Ukrainian women paramedics with complete winter clothing sets before the cold season begins.
Every day, Ukrainian women paramedics risk their own lives to save others. They evacuate the wounded, provide emergency medical care under fire, and continue their lifesaving work regardless of the weather. Together, we can help ensure they are prepared for the winter months ahead. ❄️
🎯 Our goal: 24,000 DKK

Together, we will provide 20 complete winter clothing sets, each including:
•⁠ ⁠Winter jacket
•⁠ ⁠Winter pants
•⁠ ⁠Thermal underwear set
•⁠ ⁠Fleece hat
•⁠ ⁠3 pairs of thermal socks

Every contribution helps keep someone warm while they dedicate their lives to saving others.

🤍 Healing is not only about words and grief is carried not only in thoughts, but also in bodies.
Tension, exhaustion, numbness, and the feeling of constantly being “on alert” are experiences many women have been living with since the beginning of the war ❤️‍🩹

👣 That is why body-based practices became an important part of the Keep Living retreat.
Through gentle movement, breathing, grounding exercises, and moments of stillness, the participants were invited to reconnect with themselves at their own pace.
✨ There was no pressure to achieve anything - only an opportunity to listen to their bodies, slow down, and experience a sense of safety.
We are sincerely grateful to kachanivska, who professionally guided this part of the retreat. Her work became an important element of the restorative experience we wanted to create for every participant.

A special thank you also goes to Favrholm Idræt & Kultur, who kindly provided the yoga mats used throughout the retreat. Your support helped create a comfortable and welcoming space for these practices 🧘‍♀️

This spring, WomenforUkraine was honoured to be part of the rehabilitation sailing voyage Titans Under Sails, which took place in the Saronic Gulf of Greece 🇬🇷

Our member, Maryna Blohina joined the Nordic sailing boat alongside Ukrainian and Danish veterans and volunteers, representing Women for Ukraine in this unique initiative 🇺🇦🇩🇰

More than just a sailing voyage Titans Under Sails creates a space where veterans living with the consequences of war can rebuild trust, strengthen connections, and rediscover joy, purpose, and community. Over six days at sea, participants shared stories, support, laughter, and unforgettable moments that became part of their healing journey ❤️‍🔥

Some meetings are much more than a photo.

At in Gdańsk, our Board Member Anna Coen was delighted to reconnect with Olga Rudneva and the amazing team behind Superhumans Center - one of Ukraine's most inspiring organisations and a long-standing partner of WomenforUkraine.

Over the past years, we have stood together in supporting Ukrainians affected by the war, and it is a pleasure to see how our shared commitment grows into new ideas and opportunities.

We are grateful for our partnership with Superhumans Center and for the opportunity to continue working together to support Ukrainians affected by the war.

We look forward to our cooperation and turning new ideas into projects together💙💛

🇺🇦 Women for Ukraine at 🇩🇰

We were proud to be present at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 event "Human Resource in Recovery – Her Dimension" in Gdańsk.

Our Board Member and Co-Founder, Anna Coen, attended on behalf of Women for Ukraine, representing us and Ukrainian community in Denmark among inspiring women leaders, experts and civil society representatives from Canada, the UK, Norway, Ireland, the UAE, Poland and many other countries.

The discussion focused on the essential role of women in Ukraine's recovery and was co-organised by Офіс Віцепрем'єра з питань європейської та євроатлантичної інтеграції Урядова уповноважена з ґендерної політики Катерина Левченко, Міністерство соціальної політики, сім'ї та єдності України, and Український Жіночий Фонд / Ukrainian Women's Fund, with the support of Canada’s International Development – Global Affairs Canada and Вокс Україна, and media partners Громадське радіо and Жінки в медіа.

Events like these remind us that Ukrainians around the world are becoming a powerful global network of professionals, leaders and changemakers, united by a shared commitment to Ukraine's recovery.

We are grateful for the opportunity to meet many inspiring organisations and new partners. We return to Denmark with new ideas and connections for future collaboration that we look forward to bringing to our community and projects.

This spring, WomenforUkraine participated in the Nordic Ukraine Advocacy Summit in Copenhagen, bringing together civil society representatives, advocates, experts, and community leaders from across the Nordic countries and Ukraine

Over two days of discussions, networking, and exchange of experiences, participants explored ways to strengthen support for Ukraine, address common challenges, and enhance cooperation across borders. The summit provided a valuable platform for sharing perspectives and learning from initiatives taking place in different countries 🤝

For us, one of the most meaningful aspects of the event was the opportunity to connect with women activists and community leaders from across the Nordic region, exchange experiences, and establish new relationships that can support future collaboration. Building strong networks and learning from one another remains an important part of strengthening civil society and our collective efforts in support of Ukraine

This year we supported the YouthForUnity project — a new initiative for Ukrainian youth aged 16+ started by Favrholm Idræt & Kultur Frivilligcenter Hillerød and DGI Nordsjælland in Hillerød Kommune

The project is designed to support newly arrived 🇺🇦 Ukrainian young people by creating opportunities for integration, socialization, and active participation in Danish society 🇩🇰. We believe that building connections, confidence, and a sense of belonging is just as important as practical support.

In one of our activities we took the group to Rådhuset København, where they were welcomed by municipal staff and given a guided tour of one of Denmark’s most iconic public institutions. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about local democracy, history, and civic life.

After the visit, we gathered in the cozy facilities kindly provided by our friends, where the young participants enjoyed pizza, drinks, good conversations, and a relaxed hyggelig atmosphere. They also received small souvenirs, admired the beautiful views of Copenhagen from the city centre, and afterwards spent time exploring the city together.

A special thank you goes to our project leader, Daria Iakovenko whose dedication and energy help make YouthForUnity possible 🫶 We are also deeply grateful to all our partners and sponsors. At WomenforUkraine we believe that strong initiatives are built through strong partnerships — and we are fortunate to have both 💙💛
