🤍 One of the most important parts of our “Keep Living” retreat was simply creating a space where women did not have to carry everything alone.
The psychological part of the retreat was not built around “fixing” anyone or forcing women to speak before they were ready. Instead, the focus was on creating a safe and carefully held environment where emotions, silence, conversations, tears, and shared experiences could exist without judgment.
For many displaced Ukrainian women living with loss due to the war, one of the hardest parts is the feeling of isolation — especially when living far from home, family, language, and familiar support systems.
That is why it was so important that this space existed in Ukrainian, among women with shared lived experiences, and with professionals who deeply understand the emotional reality behind these stories.
Through facilitated conversations, breathing practices, moments of reflection, and simply being together, the women were able to exhale a little, reconnect with themselves and with others, and feel less alone in what they are carrying.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped hold this space with care and professionalism
A special thank you to psychologist @Наталія Єфремова, whose professionalism, empathy, and ability to hold space were an invaluable part of the retreat experience ❤️🩹
