Our young mothers are having fun and bonding! 🏀

In our Young Mothers in Entrepreneurship we have a great focus on uniting the participating single mothers and empower them to help each other instead of everyone struggling by themselves to take care of their kids and trying to make an income.

The mothers have come to encourage the potential in working together in small groups to make income for themselves. 👊🇬🇭

Youth leaders from Kyantuuhe and Matanda COBETH are getting hands-on experience building modern Arshtrive beehives, skillfully using locally sourced materials — all guided by the expert staff from our local partner, The Purple Ray. 🪚

Through these practical workshops, the BeeProsper project empowers youth with the skills to establish both individual and group apiaries. 🐝

For many rural young people, the cost of ready-made hives is a major hurdle. Learning to build their own hives breaks down these financial barriers, unlocking opportunities for sustainable beekeeping ventures that boost income, independence, and community growth. 💛

Exciting progress at the SDG World Village in Mpigi! 🌱🇺🇬

We’re thrilled to share that our second upcycled container has officially arrived at the SDG World Village in Mpigi, Uganda – and it’s already been transformed into a powerful piece of climate art!
Painted by local hands, the mural speaks to our collective responsibility and vision for a resilient future. 🎨🌍

And that’s not all. Over the past few days, we’ve made some incredible progress:

🤝 15 farmer groups formed!
We’ve successfully brought together 150 farmers across four villages – now organised and ready to collaborate. It’s a major step forward in strengthening community cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and economic empowerment.

📚 Leadership training completed!
Over the past week, farmer group leaders have taken part in a transformative training covering:

Effective Communication

Conflict Resolution

Decision Making

Financial Management

As a result, group leaders are now developing their own group laws to promote accountability, unity, and progress. 🛠️

As one participant, Mulimira Arnold, Chairperson of Group O, shared:

“This training has opened my eyes. I now see leadership as a service, not a title.” 🌟

We’re incredibly proud of the momentum and dedication from everyone involved. The journey continues – and we can’t wait to share more soon! 💪🌾

Learning the buzz about beekeeping! Our young trainees are getting hands-on experience with beekeeping equipment in our Bee Prosper project, made possible through cooperation with SDG World and funded by CISU. The future of sustainable beekeeping is looking bright!
