Are you a student, interested in the sustainable development goals and development cooperation?

Join us at Folkemødet to learn more about Danish development cooperation from the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation, Flemming Møller Mortensen.

We will present the 2030 Challenge, a collaboration between oikos Copenhagen, Copenhagen Business School and Danida (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Udenrigsministeriet). The Danish Embassies in Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, South Africa and Tanzania will partake virtually to present the cases that teams of students from African and Danish Universities will be collaborating to solve during the summer and tell us about the opportunities and challenges regarding the SDGs in the case nations.

oikos Copenhagen will be moderating the event and we will ask the Minister and our speakers from Copenhagen Business School and DTU Skylab the question: What can their institutions do to enable students as change makers?

🌍 Join a global team of students to implement solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals!

❕ Sign-up to make a difference in one of the case countries. The cases have been developed by the Danish embassies in Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, and Tanzania. The winning team will reunite in the case country to implement their solution with the Danish Embassy.

❕ Join a global team of students to create impactful solutions to sustainability challenges!


💡 Students from different nations are brought together in global teams to collaborate on developing solutions to critical challenges against the backdrop of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


🌍 The first installment of the 2030 Challenge focuses on collaboration between 5 African countries and Denmark and how to tackle the SDG challenges together, to pave the way to a sustainable future. The 2030 Challenge connects brilliant students from Denmark, Egypt, Algeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Ghana, who can share their experiences, learn from each other and contextualize their knowledge to develop innovative solutions and contribute to the SDGs in the case countries.


🏆 The winning team will have the amazing opportunity to reunite in the case country and work on implementing the solution together with the local embassy.
