🏅 Congratulations! To the Winners of Food Film Menu 2025

The Food Film Menu 2025 winners were officially announced at the Award Ceremony held in Gozo, Malta, on 27 October 2025, hosted by Gozo, European Region of Gastronomy 2026 at the Ta’ Frenc Restaurant.

🏆 First Prize Cooking as a Beacon, displays Menorca’s culinary heritage from Menorca, European Region of Gastronomy Awarded 2022 (Spain). The film is produced by Fundació Foment del Turisme de Menorca and Be Creative.
🥇The prize was received by Oscar Roca, Young Chef Ambassador & Star of the film.

🏅2nd Prize: The Time Machine, is a produced film by Giannis Giatas (Creative Filmmer), starring Polina Nazarova, Young Chef Ambassador from South Aegean, European Region of Gastronomy 2019 (Greece)
✨The prize was received by Polina Nazarova, Young Chef Ambassador & Star of the film.

🎖3rd Prize: Dalmatian Marenda, a film by Tamara Babun Zovko and Una Radić from Central Dalmatia, European Region of Gastronomy Candidate 2027 (Croatia)
🌟The prize was received by Maja Franetović, Associate for Product Development, Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County and filmmaker Una Radić

🏆Public Vote: Each year IGCAT opens the Food Film Menu to a public vote and this year the winner was Tales and Secrets: Manabí, Pacific Fish Ceviche with Peanut – Jipijapa’s Legacy
🥂The prize was received by Fadiana Barrera, Subdirector of Communication of Gobierno Provincial de Manabí from Manabí World Region of Gastronomy 2026 (Ecuador)

Rest In Peace Jørgen Leth.
Jørgen Leth was a Danish poet and film director, who was considered a leading figure in experimental documentary filmmaking

Together with NAFA, we screened ‘Pelota II,” where Jørgen came to eat with us and the audiences, he introduced the film and took time for an Q&A. This meant a lot to us- not only because Jørgen was one of Denmark most influencial, experimental and with focus on Cultural diversity, he was also born in Aarhus.
Furthermore his documentary “5 obstacles’ together with Lars von Trier, has been an inspiration for us, in how to think out of the box, push our boundaries and still remain ( a perfect) human.

Jørgen Leth June 1937 – 29 September 2025.
