Here another of the voices of residents - Hamed:
Escape from Hell to Hell
My name is Hamed, and I am from Sudan. I fled the horrors of war in Sudan, hoping to reach my destination. On that journey, I used forged papers.
This was the second phase of the hell that awaited me here in Denmark.
It began with 40 days of imprisonment and being described as a danger to Danish society.
My asylum interview took place behind bars, and from there I was transferred to the greater hell, Kærshovedgård, where all human values stand powerless before its gates.
No one can imagine what we experience in that place: fake freedom, psychological torture, deprivation of rights, and an apartheid system.
No proper healthcare: Sometimes they ask you to wait for days to receive treatment, and other times they ask you to buy medication with your own money.
No good food: Bad meals are served to us, and sometimes they are rotten. Most residents suffer from stomach problems because of the food.
The chef meets with us every three months to ask residents about the things that pain them. The residents speak, hoping he is there to help, but unfortunately, the purpose of the question was to find out where the pain is so they can pressure it.
It is systematic psychological torture carried out under the auspices and blessing of the Danish government.
Living there is nearly impossible, but the options are death, death, or death.
Returning to your country and dying with dignity is the option the government prefers, and they even offer you money for it.
Staying here for years, you either lose your mind or turn to drugs, and in the end, you end your life!
All roads lead to death.
I admit, we have misunderstood human rights!
The right to life is not for us, dignity and justice are not for us, freedom is not for us, the right to work and education is not for us.
In conclusion, I hope the Danish people wake up from their slumber and that all deportation centers and detention centers for asylum seekers are closed.
Do not believe the government and what it says.
You must visit these places to know the truth.
