Last week, FinanceLab Aarhus hosted our final event of the semester – Summer BBQ 2026 – bringing students together for an insightful afternoon centred around the theme “USA vs. Europe – Investing in Uncertain Times.”

The event included presentations from Jens Schjerning, Chief Economist at AgroCura, and Tommy Steg, Vice President in Strategic Research at Jyske Bank, who shared their perspectives on today’s investment landscape and the impact of geopolitical developments on financial markets.

Following the presentations and Q&A session, participants gathered for networking, food, and drinks to wrap up the semester together.

Thank you to everyone who participated, and especially to AgroCura, Jyske Bank, and DJØF for helping make the event possible.

Nysgerrig på Corporate Finance og M&A?

I samarbejde med Clearwater inviterer FinanceLab til et event med fokus på M&A, 'light' case-arbejde og networking.

Arrangementet byder på en introduktion til Clearwater og deres arbejde inden for køb og salg af virksomheder, efterfulgt af 'light' case-arbejde (ingen erfaring påkrævet), hvor du som deltager vil blive guidet igennem værktøjskassen som M&A-rådgiver anvendt på en af Clearwaters tidligere cases. Casearbejdet faciliteres af medarbejdere fra Clearwater og giver et unikt indblik i, hvordan M&A-processer håndteres i praksis. Derudover vil Clearwater give en rundvisning på deres nye kontor i Akson på Sydhavnen efterfulgt af dinner & drinks, hvor der vil være mulighed for at tale videre med Clearwater-medarbejdere.

Kickstart Your Morning with FinanceLab and InCommodities

In cooperation with Tuborgfondet and Djøf, FinanceLab invites you to this year’s inspiring morning event with InCommodities, offering insights into global energy markets and how an Aarhus-based company plays a central role in the global energy sector.

The event features Daniel Borup Andersen, CEO of InCommodities Europe, who together with other professionals from the company will share perspectives on the industry and the key dynamics shaping energy markets today.

The event includes a panel discussion with representatives from different roles within the organization, as well as time for Q&A. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about topics of interest, including career paths, required competencies, daily work in the industry, what is expected of newly graduated professionals, and much more.

During the event, breakfast will be served, including fresh baked goods with a selection of toppings, juice, and coffee.
