kedjaAarhus A Nordic-Baltic Dancemeeting taking place in Aarhus sept. 20th-22nd of september 2011 In short: Why do we dance? And who do we dance for?

At keðjaAarhus we are curious about the relation between the art of dance and its surroundings – what we would call the “relational and social aspects of the world of dance”. Through various exchange platforms we invite you to participate in discussions and work on aspects concerning dance as a social resource and dance practitioners as cultural entrepreneurs.

• How does dance relate to, use and

interact with the society that surrounds our art activities?
• What are the dancer’s competences and how to transfer them to other contexts? // off stage?
• How do we talk and write about dance – how does dance communicate its relevance?
