The UIC operates under the umbrella of International Academic Staff Services (IAS). Our events are open to all internationals involved with Aarhus University. This includes:

- International academic staff
- International PhD students
- Guest employees at AU
- Foreign visitors to AU

As well as:

- Partners
- Children
- Friends

Family and friends of international staff are welcome to join in the company of their partners, or in their own right. We also have a focus on integrating internationals into the Aarhus community, and for this reason, our doors are always open to everyone interested in meeting and interacting with internationals - including Danes! It does not matter whether you are a total newcomer to Aarhus, or have lived here for a number of years, you are welcome to join the UIC at any time. Some participants are employed, others are seeking employment and still others are undertaking an education - the UIC has room for everyone.
