👉 Henning Bo Madsen (INFORSE-Europe) about the European perspectives EU directives, REScoop.eu; Lise Nielson (Nordisk Energiforskning) about the Nordic connections to EU.
👉 Gunnar B Olesen (VedvarendeEnergi og INFORSE) with steps how to go forward.
👉Gitte Davidsen (Nordisk Folkecenter) about theory to practis
👉Moderator: Jane Kruse, direktør of the Nordic Foleceneter for Renewable Energy.
After presentations and workshop we had discussion on how to go forward
The event was financially supported by Europa-Nævnet.
👉 Afterwards, Judit Szoleczky presented the participatory training methods developed by Energy Literacy for Youth - ELY (games, role play, experiments etc) an Erasmus+ project across europe, and discussed its use in Denmark e.g. at Tvind, and the Nordic Folkecenter.

CHERNOBYL 40 years.
Today, April 26, 2026, it is 40 years since Chernobyl reactor 4 exploded in the most serious nuclear power disaster to date. Now, 40 years later, there is still a closed zone of 30 km in diameter with radioactive hotspots. The destroyed reactor itself still contains a lot of radioactive material and is shielded by a so-called sarcophagus, which, if all goes well, can last for 100 years. After that, our descendants will build a new one for the next 100 years and so on. And unfortunately, all is not well with the sarcophagus: a hole was already punched in the sarcophagus in a Russian drone attack on February 14, 2025 (see picture).
In the rest of Europe, where large amounts of radioactive material were dispersed, there have been restrictions on the use of mutton meat as far away as Wales until 2012 due to the radioactivity of the meat. And in Ukraine and Belarus alone, the cost of the disaster is estimated at $384 billion for the first 30 years, according to estimations by UNDP and UNICEF with UNOCHA and WHO (2002). This is equivalent to 80% of the Danish annual GDP.
Have we learned anything from the Chernobyl disaster?
We have been taught someone about nuclear power safety; but we should learn that the owners of the nuclear power plants must pay for the costs they cause, so that innocent people are not again made to pay for costs corresponding to the Danish annual GDP, as happened with the Chernobyl disaster. Unfortunately, in most countries the liability is limited to less than 1% of the costs caused by Chernobyl, so there is a long way to go. We can also learn that the location far from larger cities had the advantage that there were only smaller towns that had to be evacuated. Now nuclear power supporters, in particular supporter of the small-and middle sized SMR’s, want to place nuclear power plants in harbours and near cities. So they obviously do not want to learn from the experience and instead expose many citizens to the risk of living close to a nuclear power plant.
Let us use the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster to consider if it is really a good idea to build more nuclear power plants or rather choose a transition away from fossil fuels with safer alternatives? This consideration must also include the fact that renewable energy sources and energy efficiency today are both much cheaper and far faster to establish than nuclear power.

😍🌞🌍 Lærerkursus: Energikundskab for Unge - GRATIS kursus – med certifikat - april-maj - Danmark, Erasmus+ Høje Taastrup / KBH Aarhus. * Træningskursus for et nyt internationalt træningsprogram for unge med flygtningebaggrund eller vanskeligheder. Interaktive metoder som spil, role-play, praktiske øvelser i klima og energi.
Dansk/engelsk. Materiale også ukrainsk, tyrkisk, arabisk.

* Hermed inviteres der til at deltage i et introduktions- og træningskursus for et nyt træningsprogram for unge om energi og klima. Det benytter interaktive undervisningsmetoder, moduler med spil, role-play samt praktiske øvelser i vedvarende energi og energieffektivitet.
* Træningsmodulerne er designet til at appellere til UNGE, der har vanskeligheder med at lære via traditionelle metoder med lærebøger. * Målgruppen inkluderer unge med flygtningebaggrund. (originalt materiale er på engelsk, men oversæt til dansk, tyrkisk, ukrainsk, arabisk, spansk, samt polsk, tysk og tjekkisk. For læreren/træneren findes der vejledning, baggrundsbeskrivelse og faktaark.

Træningsmaterialerne omfatter:
14 metoder inden for 4 moduler:

* METODERNE: 🌍 Klima brætspil: Hvor stort er dit klimaaftryk? 🌍 🙋🙋‍♂️Rollespil: EU-forhandlinger med ministre at reducere CO2-udledninger.🔅 Eksperimenter (hands-on): sol, vind, watt-måling, solovne, byg din egen fungerende model. 🏡 Byg det fremtidige miljøvenlige samfund (med LEGO). 🌍 Vandring i klima ulighed. 🌍 Hvem udleder hvad ?. 🔥 Klimakrige. 🌍 Stille diskussioner. ⚽️Energibold. 🌍 Sandt og falsk. 🐥🍔 Kylling Sandwhich. 🌍 System Kortlægning. ☕️ Deltagelsescafé. 🌍 Organisations Bingo.

Vi har kapacitet til at træne 20 personer som er interesserede i klima og vedvarende energi og gerne personer som ønsker at uddanne unge med barrierer i tekstbaseret undervisning og med marginaliseret, og ikke-EU-baggrund. Det er ikke et krav at man efter kurset selv træner unge; men det er et tilbud.

SPROG: Træningsmaterialet er tilgængeligt på 🇬🇧 engelsk, 🇩🇰 dansk, 🇹🇷 tyrkisk, 🇺🇦 ukrainsk, 🇪🇸 spansk, 🇵🇱 polsk, 🇩🇪 tysk 🇨🇿 tjekkisk og arabisk.
Kurserne vil foregå på DANSK (evt. på ENGELSK specifikt for dem med ukrainsk, arabisk eller tyrkisk baggrund, som også kan undervise i disse grupper i fremtiden.)

* Efter kurset får du et CERTIFICAT og vil der være mulighed for at være MEDUNDERVISER som en del af projektets træninger af unge, samt at deltage i en KONFERENCE.
