IGAD Health Conference - 2014

The first IGAD Health Conference (2014) is expected to create a forum of exchange of knowledge and experience on health and social issues of cross-border mobile populations including pastoralist/nomads in Africa based on the existing IGAD project implementation. It will also establish and strengthen networks among partners by holding an international conference. This conference will provide an opportunity to all IGAD Member States, academic institutions, and partners to share knowledge and experience on health and social issues of cross-border interventions. In addition, it will also help health professionals and policy makers better understand the needs of cross-border and pastorialist communities. It will also establish networks and partnerships among all stakeholders for future scaling up of cross-border and pastoralist health and social programs.
