🚀 An exciting opportunity for Young Engineers!
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space has launched the 2nd edition of the BraveTechEU DefTech Forges.
The initiative invites engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators to showcase technologies that could contribute to Europe’s future security and technological resilience.
Participants have the opportunity to test advanced technologies in realistic operational environments, receive expert mentoring, and compete for €120,000 in prize funding per winning team.
There‘s also the possibility of progressing to further operational experimentation supported by the European Defence Agency.
The upcoming challenges focus on strategic technology areas, including:
🔹 Autonomous unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and drone swarms
🔹 Electronic warfare (EW)-resilient technologies
🔹 Unattended ground sensor networks
🔹 Rapid battlefield adaptation and modular systems
🔹 RF seekers and terminal guidance technologies
📅 The application deadline is 6 September 2026,
the information session will take place on 25 August 2026,
and the DefTech Forges will be held from 9 to 13 November 2026 in Germany and Romania.
