We have convinced the municipality of Ulm to take care of the soil in the city. It doesn't matter if the soil is covered by grass or deeply rooted by trees, we should help our soils to regain their strength to improve the microclimate in the city. Want to know what it was like?⁠

Ulm Local Agenda is an exhibition by the city of Ulm that shows what has been done in the city over the last 25 years. They have organised a series of lectures and presentations for this purpose over the summer and also invited us to present ourselves at an event and address the topic of soil.⁠

There are microbial communities in soil that impact the human health. Soil microbes affect human health through various ways. One is the food chain, as they can influence the quality of crops and livestock that we consume. Another way is through gardening, outdoor activities, and contact with healthy soil. This way they can have beneficial effects on the our immune system and overall well-being.⁠

Microbiome; The Connection between Soil and Human Gut⁠

The microbiome refers to the diverse community of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and archaea, that inhabit various environments, including soil and the human gut.⁠

👉️👉️ We have shared microbial species with the soil. For example, certain bacteria like Bacteroides, Firmicutes, and Actinobacteria are found in both soil and the human gut. These shared microbes can be transmitted between environments through various pathways, such as food, water, and air.⁠

Understanding the connections between soil and gut microbiomes can provide insights into the complex interactions between microbial communities and their effects on human health and ecosystem sustainability.
