Our group, the Samahan ng mga Pinay in Ulm, e.V. or SPU, was established in 2014 to give charity through projects in the Philippines and to promote Filipino culture within the Filipino community and the international community in Ulm and the surrounding area. Throughout the years, we have been reintroduced to various folk and cultural dances that we were familiar with when we were still in our home country. These are just some of the dances we have enjoyed learning, performing, and dancing over the years. We are looking forward to learning and performing more dances in the future. 💃🏻🇵🇭

Even abroad, we are still observing the Filipino tradition of Flores de Mayo. This is a Filipino Catholic devotion every month of May observed in the Philippines. We would like to thank the Wengenkirche in Ulm, Fr. Jonathan Ramoso, members of Samahan ng Pinay in Ulm, e.V. who helped us organize, those who donated food, rosary group, our friends who participated in the event, and all of those who attended the event to make the mass and the feast joyful and meaningful.

Our year’s project in sponsoring the Pathway Concreting Project, which aims to enhance the safety and accessibility of Lagao Elemetary School school premises for students, teachers, and community.

General Objective:
This project aims to provide a friendly, safety and conducive learning space through efficient use of resources.
Specific Objectives:
1. To improve the accessibility and safety of the school premise.
2. To minimize health hazards and
distractions
caused by unpaved surfaces.
3. To promote a sense of community engagement in improving school infrastructure.
