STEP Alumni

The Students Experience Programme (STEP) is one of SAFRI’s responses to this need. With STEP, SAFRI offers highly qualified students and university graduates from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) six-month internships with leading companies in Germany. STEP imparts practical work experience as well as international experience in an intercultural environment thereby preparing the p

articipants for their future professional challenges, aiding their entry into working life and at the same time creating a favourable basis for business relations between Germany and the Southern African region. Since the STEP project was initiated in 2005, 79 participants from Angola, Botswana, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe, have successfully completed the programme. With a continually increasing number of STEP Alumni, SAFRI has responded to the expressed interest in a closer and more active relationship between the Alumni and SAFRI and also between the STEP Alumni themselves - irrespective of where they are based - by creating this page.
