𝗧𝗕𝗥𝗜 (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗗 𝟭𝟬 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀

A total of 98 participants composed of social workers, psychometricians, houseparents, drivers, and other personnel from the five Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) of DSWD 10 attended the training. It was facilitated by Atty. Sheila Guico-Mally, TBRI Practitioner, during the capacity building event organized by DSWD 10 on June 2-5, 2026 in Mambajao, Camiguin.

This TBRI Caregiver Training which focused on the core principles of Empowerment, Connection, and Correction, has equipped participants with practical, trauma-informed strategies to support children and youth who have experienced adversity. The participants delve into understanding trauma and its impact on child development, creating safe and nurturing environments, and building trusting relationships through attunement and connection.

Grateful for our strong partnership with DSWD 10 in creating safe and nurturing environments for children from hard places!

✨ Was für ein besonderer Moment für unser Herzensprojekt auf den Philippinen: Balik Kaanyag wurde im März durch das philippinische Sozialministerium (DSWD Field Office X) in Nord-Mindanao als „Best Development Partner“ ausgezeichnet. 💛

Vor nur zweieinhalb Jahren begann die Arbeit von Balik Kaanyag — mit der Vision, Kindern, die sexualisierte Gewalt erleben mussten, Hoffnung, Schutz und neue Perspektiven zu schenken.

Heute durften bereits über 300 junge Menschen durch unsere psychosozialen und traumatherapeutischen Angebote begleitet und tausende Eltern, Lehrkräfte, Sozialarbeiter*innen und Gemeindemitglieder erreicht werden. Hinter all dem stehen Menschen mit offenen Herzen — auf den Philippinen und hier auf der anderen Seite der Welt. 🇵🇭

Diese Auszeichnung gehört jedem einzelnen Menschen, der mitbetet, spendet, teilt und an diese Vision glaubt. Danke, dass ihr diesen Weg mit uns geht. ❤️

Right now our hearts are incredibly full. 💛

Over the past weeks in the Philippines, we’ve had the chance to meet the team, share stories, and see how the projects continue to grow. Being there and experiencing the impact in real time has been deeply moving. 🥰
And wow, visiting the new satellite office that opened in 2025 was one of our very special moments. ✨

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing many more moments from our time in the Philippines.

On Wednesday, we had the joy of visiting the wonderful team of Balik Kaanyag again. Together, we fired up the new stone oven and turned Balik Kaanyag’s bamboo hall into a cozy little pizzeria.

It was such a joy to connect more deeply with the team, share stories, laugh together, and enjoy some excellent homemade pizza that tasted as good as the company felt.

A truly beautiful afternoon! 🍕✨

🌊✨ Beloved Kids Beach Weekend!

This weekend we shared a really nice time with our Beloved kids at the beach! 💛

For over 10 years we’ve been walking with these amazing young hearts. Seeing these kids not just growing up, but pouring love back out — some now leading little Sunday groups and shining God’s light — fills us with immense gratitude.
