Equine Dermatology Workshop - Paris, France

3rd to 5th March 2027 in Regiment de cavalerie de la Garde Repiblicaine, 18 Boulevard Henri IV, 75004, Paris, France.

Dr Hélène Dropsy is the local organiser and, together with our local team, will ensure a memorable and well-organised event for all attendees.

For this workshop, we have assembled an outstanding panel of internationally recognised speakers, including Professor Stephen White, Dr Kerstin Bergvall, Dr Eliane Marti, Dr Sophie Vandenabeele and Dr Emilie Quéré. Over three days, the programme will cover a wide range of topics in equine dermatology, including infectious, allergic, autoimmune, immune-mediated, neoplastic and endocrine skin diseases, as well as current diagnostic approaches and therapeutic advances.

The lecture room is expected to accommodate approximately 85 participants, including veterinarians in general practice, boarded dermatologists, residents and clinicians with a special interest in equine dermatology.

We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about our upcoming ESVD Equine Dermatology Workshop, taking place from 3rd to 5th March 2027 in Regiment de cavalerie de la Garde Repiblicaine, 18 Boulevard Henri IV, 75004, Paris, France.

We are opening the application process for the Ulli Runge Harms ESVD Grant. The award (2000 euros) is granted to an applicant to help fund a training externship of 3-6 weeks duration with a Diplomate of Veterinary Dermatology College.
Deadline for applications: 31.01.2027 12.00 pm CET. Please send your documents to [email protected].

Starting with 2026, three grants have been founded by ESVD.

We are delighted to present the new Board of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology for the next three years.

This new chapter will be led by our President, Jevgenija Kondratjeva, together with our new Secretary, Ana Petak, and Tamara Weitzer, who will oversee Scientific Research Grants. Meret Ricklin, a valued member of the previous Board, will continue serving the Society in the new role of Treasurer.

We are also very pleased that our members Peri Lau-Gillard and Ana Maria Boncea will continue thier roles in supporting Further Education, helping us continue to provide high-quality educational opportunities, workshops, and initiatives for our members.

Our Past President, Katarina Varjonen, will remain closely involved with the Board over the coming years, providing continuity, experience, and valuable guidance as we move forward together.

At the same time, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Robert Cikota and Lucia Panakova, who are stepping down after many years of dedicated service on the Board. Such long-standing commitment deserves special recognition, and we are deeply thankful for the time, energy, expertise, and enthusiasm invested in the Society over the years.

We are grateful for the trust placed in us and look forward to serving the ESVD community throughout the next three years. Our commitment remains strong: to support our members, foster scientific development, manage and promote research grants, and continue delivering valuable webinars, workshops, further education, and opportunities for professional exchange.

As we begin this new term, we look forward to building on the work of those who came before us, strengthening our community, and continuing to develop the Society with enthusiasm, collaboration, and a shared passion for veterinary dermatology.

Finally, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our PCO and to Luc Beco for their valuable service, dedication, and continued support to the Society. Their contribution behind the scenes is greatly appreciated and plays an important role in helping ESVD achieve its goals.

The 36th European Veterinary Dermatology Congress has been about much more than science: it has also been a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, meet new colleagues and enjoy time together as a community.

On Thursday evening, our Welcome Reception at the beautiful Palais de la Bourse gave us the perfect start to the congress in the heart of Lille.

And last night, we continued with our Dinner Dance at La Ferme des Templiers — a fantastic evening filled with great food, conversations, laughter and, of course, dancing!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make both evenings so special. These moments together are an important part of what makes our European veterinary dermatology community so unique. ❤️

We hope you enjoyed them as much as we did!
