What happens when young people from different countries come together to create positive environmental change?

This final video captures the unforgettable journey of EcoArt Rising – Inspiring Action, an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that brought together participants from Germany, Romania, Türkiye, Italy, and the Netherlands to learn, create, and inspire one another through non-formal education, intercultural learning, and environmental action.

Throughout the exchange, participants:
🌱 Explored environmental sustainability and responsible consumption
🎨 Created art from recycled and upcycled materials
🤝 Built friendships across cultures and celebrated diversity
💡 Developed creativity, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
🌍 Took part in activities promoting active citizenship and community engagement

This video is a celebration of the memories we created, the lessons we learned, and the impact we hope to continue spreading long after the project has ended.

🌿 Changing Mindsets: From Waste to Action | Eco-Art Rising Inspring Action

Real environmental change doesn't start with recycling bins—it starts in our minds.

In this second short awareness film created by youth participants during the Eco-Art Rising Inspring Action Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Călimănești, Romania, we dive into the shift in perspective needed to tackle our global waste problem. Moving away from a throwaway culture requires us to re-evaluate our daily habits, view trash as a potential creative resource, and embrace sustainable choices.

🌱 How to Shift Your Mindset:

Rethink Value: Before throwing something away, ask if it can be repaired, repurposed, or upcycled.

Question Consumer Habits: Mindful purchasing choices drastically reduce overall waste production.

Lead by Example: Inspiring friends, family, and local communities to adopt eco-friendly habits creates a lasting domino effect.

Embrace Active Citizenship: Small individual changes combine to build a culture of environmental action.

🌍 SusEcoWater Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Project 💧

The SusEcoWater Youth Exchange project took place in Braga, Portugal 🇵🇹, from 10–19 May 2026. The project brought together 43 participants from Portugal 🇵🇹, Türkiye 🇹🇷, Germany 🇩🇪, Italy 🇮🇹, Hungary 🇭🇺, and Spain 🇪🇸.

💧 The main goal of the project was to raise awareness among young people about sustainable water consumption and the circular economy, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable future for coming generations. The exchange created a space where young people could connect across cultures, recognising shared challenges, values, and experiences while embracing their differences.

🎯 Project objectives included:

Increasing understanding of sustainable water use and its core principles
Equipping participants with practical skills to apply circular economy principles in daily life
Encouraging youth to spread sustainability awareness within their local communities

🇩🇪 As Anka Youth Team Germany, we proudly sent a group of young participants to represent Germany in this international exchange.

🏆 DAY 8 • The Grand Finale & Oscars Night! 🎬🍿

The final official day of our journey has arrived, and we closed this incredible chapter in the best way possible!
💡 Future Planning: We started with an energetic team-up to brainstorm and formulate new ideas for future Erasmus programs, followed by a meaningful evaluation session to look back on everything we’ve learned and achieved together.
✨ The Oscars Night: After lunch, we turned the venue into a glamorous cinema hall for our very own Oscars Night! Our team short movies were screened, judged by a panel, and celebrated with awards for all our creative geniuses.
We came as strangers, we leave as a global family. Thank you to everyone who made this adventure unforgettable! 🌍❤️

✨ DAY 7 • Community, Camera, Action & Upcycling! 🏫👗

Day 7 was a beautiful mix of social impact, film editing, and pure fashion creativity!
🏫 School Visit: We spent an incredible morning visiting a local school in Călimănești. Playing games, dancing, and sharing positive vibes with the kids made us feel like total celebrities. Laughter and pure happiness everywhere!
🎥 Short Movies: In the afternoon, we locked into editing mode, finalizing our group short films about crucial eco-topics like pollution and recycling.
✂️ Eco-Fashion Show: We wrapped up the day with a wild upcycling activity! Teams transformed old clothes into brand new fashion pieces, followed by a hilarious fashion show and auction.

An unforgettable, productive day of learning, creativity, and deeper friendships! 💚✨
