BluoVerda goes to Serra das Nascentes!
📍Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Serra das Nascentes is a farm in the mountains of the Atlantic Rainforest, where nature thrives and good practices are implemented. Serra das Nascentes is a movement of nurturing and rescue: rescue of springs, soil fertility, ecological balance, and traditional knowledge and practices essential to a people's identity.

Here, a place of abundant water, with more than 30 water springs, livestock helps rebalance the soil, coffee is grown in harmony with the forest, and native tree species are returning to the land, with 200 native seedlings recently planted, bringing back shade, water, and life to the territory.

Surrounded by incredible landscapes shaped by Pico da Bandeira, one of Brazil’s highest mountains, this family-run farm shows that regeneration is not just possible — it is already happening.

💙💚 BluoVerda proudly supports Serra das Nascentes and its activities and works as a facilitator and bridge for organisations and initiatives interested in building partnerships with the farm.
We also collaborate as partners within the World Network of Mountain Biosphere Reserves, strengthening our shared commitment to mountain ecosystems, biodiversity, and community-led regeneration.

Serra das Nascentes é uma fazenda nas montanhas, onde a natureza resiste e boas práticas acontecem. Serra das Nascentes é movimento de nurturing e resgate: resgate de nascentes, fertilidade do solo, equilíbrio ecológico e costumes esquecidos responsáveis pela identidade de um povo.

Trata-se de água abundante e paisagens incríveis, onde uma das maiores montanhas do Brasil emoldura a paisagem, o Pico da Bandeira. O gado reequilibra o solo, café é produzido e espécies de árvores outrora presentes são novamente plantadas na terra dando sombra aos animais silvestres vivem. Nessa fazenda gerida por uma família, a vida prospera.

Weites Feld Festival Recap

From August 29 to 31, BluoVerda joined the enchanting Weites Feld Festival at the Sternenhof in Struppen, Saxony, brought to life by Sukuma arts e.V. in cooperation with CSA Weites Feld gGmbH.

The festival was a magical late-summer gathering under the stars, brimming with music, theater, clownerie, hands-on workshops, and cozy straw-bale corners .
Together with CAMBIO e.V., we conducted creative workshops on sustainability, food systems, and planetary health, featuring interactive methods like Die Kartoffel ist eine Peruanerin, the Tomaten Rallye, Ecological Footprint explorations, and potato stamps for kids.

Being part of this living lab for sustainable festival experiences as envisioned by the “Seeds of Change” initiative was truly inspiring. 🥰💚

A heartfelt thank you to all who participated, laughed, learned, and danced along with us. And to CAMBIO e.V. for inviting us.

Vom 29. bis 31. August war BluoVerda beim zauberhaften Weites Feld Festival im Sternenhof in Struppen, Sachsen, mit dabei, das von Sukuma arts e.V. zusammen mit der CSA Weites Feld gGmbH organisiert wurde.

Das Festival war ein magisches Spätsommertreffen unter dem Sternenhimmel, voller Musik, Theater, Clownerie, praktischen Workshops und gemütlichen Strohballenecken.
Zusammen mit CAMBIO e.V. haben wir kreative Workshops zu Nachhaltigkeit, Ernährungssystemen und planetarer Gesundheit durchgeführt, mit interaktiven Methoden wie „Die Kartoffel ist eine Peruanerin“, der „Tomaten-Rallye“, Erkundungen zum ökologischen Fußabdruck und Kartoffelstempeln für Kinder.

Teil dieses Living Labs für nachhaltige Festivalerlebnisse zu sein, wie es sich die Initiative „Seeds of Change“ vorstellt, war echt inspirierend.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle, die mitgemacht, gelacht, gelernt und mit uns getanzt haben. Und an CAMBIO e.V. für die Einladung.

We are happy to share that the international Erasmus+ project FoodTure, developed together with our partners 2811 JA Slovenija - Zavod za spodbujanje podjetnosti mladih and Evegreen, has now completed its implementation phase.

Through this project, we carried out workshops with young people in Germany and Slovenia, creating creative and participatory spaces to reflect on sustainable food systems and climate change.

As part of our dissemination activities, we joined the AGRA International Agricultural and Food Fair in Gornja Radgona (Slovenia), within the Climate Goals Hub – a platform for knowledge sharing, inspiration, and collaboration towards a sustainable future. 🌍💡

This weekend, we will also be presenting the project at the Weites Feld Festival in Struppen (Germany).

Last weekend, we were happy to join the fourth edition of the Latin American Festival in Dresden! We got to share some of our current projects, like FoodTure and LATAM-EU Sustainable, and run an open workshop for everyone.
Together, we reflected on food systems, climate change, food waste, and sustainable alternatives in the city. We also played with our interactive methods and committed to making changes towards more conscious and environmentally friendly eating.
A big thank you to the organisers and to everyone who joined us! 💚

✨🌍 We’re happy to announce that we’ve completed the workshops with young people as part of the international Erasmus+ project FoodTure, led by the organisations Junior Achievement Slovenia and Evegreen from Slovenia, and 2811 and Bluoverda from Germany.

🌱 The project is based on the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Systems Innovation (SI), empowering young people to become active changemakers in building a more sustainable food system.

🤝 Through joint work with other relevant actors, participants reflected and developed their creativity around this important topic.

This session showcased how open-source GIS tools like QGIS are being used in real-world scenarios to support sustainable development, community empowerment, and policy decision-making.
