Thinking in 3D under the sun! ☀️🔄 Senior School Arts teacher Mrs. Lior is leading her students in an outdoor class to take advantage of the gorgeous summer weather while they master the skill of three-dimensional visualization.
Moving from 2D sketches to abstract stone sculptures is one of the toughest and most rewarding skills for an art student to learn, as it requires them to visualize objects in a completely new way. Students start with natural forms, such as shells or animals, and simplify them through several stages until they reach a unique, abstracted 3D form. This creative process is inspired by the legendary work of sculptors Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore. Stay tuned for their end results!
