Yesterday, our commission member visited the . During this meeting, the Youth Council was introduced to the YouthHansa, and we discussed the potential participation of the Hanseatic City in the International Hanseatic Days of 2026 or 2027.

He also emphasized how strategically valuable it would be for both organisations if the city were to join the youth network. The Youth Council has the ambition to become European Capital of Culture in 2033, an ambition that aligns perfectly with Hanseatic participation. For the YouthHansa, Groningen’s involvement would open doors to interregional funding opportunities, making cooperation between the Dutch Hanseatic Cities ( ) and .jugendhanse easier and allowing our organisation to continue to grow and flourish.

More to come! ⛵️

Have you recovered from the 45th Hanseatic Day in Visby already? Then it might be time to take a look at this wonderful recap of our time there!

We look back on another year of forging bonds, exchanging culture and history and shaping the YouthHansa into something wonderful together!

During our stay in Visby, together with the university of Uppsala, we dealt with the overall topic of mental wellbeing and discussed how this can be supported in the world of young people. Bringing people together is one of the biggest priorities and we're glad to have had this opportunity to shape a better future.

Last weekend, the Hanseatic city of Stade invited young people from various cities. A varied program awaited the participants: a sailing trip on the Elbe, a tour of the city and a Hansa Song Festival: the three days were an ideal opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas and, last but not least, get in the mood for the upcoming Hanseatic Day in Visby - which is probably why the young people spent the night in the “Sweden House”.
Thanks to the organizers - especially to .marketing
