During this past week, we had a very successful internal b-it-bots contest, during which the members and members were competing to find out whether the youBot or Lucy is better at cleaning up a large pile of objects. In the competition task, both robots were supposed to deliver objects to two different locations, depending on whether they were classified as industrial or domestic.
In a best-out-of-four-runs scoring system (with runs being performed over three days), the youBot won the competition by a large margin; a big congratulations to the members who worked so hard to achieve this! Congratulations to the members as well, all of whom are new to the team, but still successfully learned how to work with Lucy within a very short period.
The competition was above all a learning experience for all recent b-it-bots members. The activities of our team have suffered during the pandemic, but it was wonderful to see a great working spirit from everyone.
