🇺🇸 Honoring Heroes at Lorraine American Cemetery

Today our Ramstein Girl Scout neighborhood, along with our friends and families, spent a beautiful day at Lorraine American Cemetery in Saint‑Avold, France, placing American and French flags on the graves of the fallen. From morning through the afternoon, our girls showed care, respect, and gratitude with every flag they placed. We had a wonderful turnout, and the girls represented our community with pride.

🇫🇷 A Shared History
Lorraine American Cemetery is the final resting place of more than 10,000 American service members who fought to liberate France during WWII. The tradition of placing both American and French flags honors the deep friendship between our nations — a bond forged in sacrifice, gratitude, and shared commitment to freedom. Our girls were able to witness this history firsthand and take part in a tradition that continues to unite our communities.

We are grateful to all the families who joined us and to our girls for showing such heart yesterday.

Our Ramstein Girl Scouts didn’t just have an awesome camp‑in this weekend — they also took time to give back to our community in a big way. The girls rolled up their sleeves and helped clean up trash around the schools, the scout hut, and Donnelly Park. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and pride in caring for the spaces we use every day was incredible to see.

From the youngest Daisies to our older girls, everyone jumped in with determination and big smiles. They showed what it means to live the Girl Scout Promise and the Leave No Trace principles, making a real impact right here in our neighborhood. We’re so proud of their hard work and the example they set for others.

Strong girls. Strong community. Stronger together. Great job girls!

What an unforgettable weekend for our Ramstein Girl Scout neighborhood! Our camp‑in at Ramstein Intermediate School was packed with energy, teamwork, and so many moments that reminded us why these girls are incredible. A huge thank‑you to the school for opening their doors to us, and an even bigger shoutout to our amazing leaders and parent volunteers who made this camp happen. We couldn’t do any of this without you.

Friday kicked off strong as our Khaki Crew set up in the gym and our Juniors and brownies transformed the cafeteria into their campsite. The girls jumped right in and worked together like pros. We enjoyed Benji’s Burritos for dinner, and all leftovers were donated to airmen on base — they were thrilled. Our older girls learned fire‑building skills, we made s’mores, the younger girls performed skits, and we wrapped up the night stargazing near Donnelly Park. Pure magic.

On Saturday, our Daisies joined the fun and the energy only grew. With “Leave No Trace” as our theme, the girls rotated through hands‑on stations like art in nature, wildflower seed bombs, and a nature scavenger hunt. Each group represented one of the seven principles and created a skit to teach it to the rest of the troop — and they absolutely crushed it. We also had a community service project, collecting trash around the school and park. Watching the girls take pride in caring for their community was the perfect finish to an amazing camp.

These girls showed leadership, creativity, teamwork, and heart all weekend long. We’re so proud of them.

Troop 803 has been busy making a difference and exploring the world of STEM! 💚🍪🤖

The girls showed what true community spirit looks like by donating their extra Girl Scout cookies to the USO—spreading a little sweetness to those who serve.

They also had an incredible, hands-on meeting with UMGC, where they dove into robotics and engineering. From learning new skills to asking thoughtful questions, these girls are embracing every opportunity to grow, create, and lead.

We love seeing our troop get involved, give back, and explore exciting STEM experiences together!
