The Refugees Emancipation Community Center (RECC) is pleased to announce the official inauguration of its new center in Potsdam on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM. This important occasion marks a new step in our ongoing commitment to empowerment, community building, and inclusive development for refugees and local residents alike.
The launch event will include the premiere of a short film presenting the RECC concept and sharing the voices and stories of the people who make up our vibrant community.
A central highlight of the program will be the presentation of the House 2 construction project, which represents the next stage in RECC’s growth. During the event, we will share our vision for this new development and the various ways in which partners, supporters, and community members can contribute to bringing it to life.
Guests will also be invited to enjoy music, food, and community networking, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere for exchange and celebration.

The Refugees Emancipation Community Center (RECC) is a grassroots initiative founded by refugees, for refugees. Since its inception, RECC has worked to promote self-organization, physical and digital inclusion, and social empowerment among refugee communities in Brandenburg and beyond. By providing spaces for learning, dialogue, cooperation and living Spaces, RECC fosters connections between refugees and local residents—encouraging a shared commitment to dignity, equality, and community development.

Das Refugees Emancipation Community Center (RECC) freut sich, die offizielle Einweihung seines neuen Zentrums in Potsdam am Freitag, den 28. November 2025, um 18:00 Uhr bekannt zu geben. Dieser wichtige Anlass markiert einen neuen Schritt in unserem kontinuierlichen Engagement für Empowerment, Gemeinschaftsbildung und integrative Entwicklung für Flüchtlinge und Anwohner gleichermaßen.
Im Rahmen der Eröffnungsveranstaltung wird ein Kurzfilm gezeigt, der das RECC-Konzept vorstellt und die Stimmen und Geschichten der Menschen präsentiert, die unsere lebendige Gemeinschaft ausmachen.
Ein zentraler Höhepunkt des Programms ist die Vorstellung des Bauprojekts „House 2“, das die nächste Stufe im Wachstum des RECC darstellt. Während der Veranstaltung werden wir unsere Vision für dieses neue Projekt vorstellen und die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten aufzeigen, wie Partner, Unterstützer und Gemeindemitglieder dazu beitragen können, es zu verwirklichen.
Die Gäste sind außerdem eingeladen, Musik, Essen und Networking zu genießen, wodurch eine warme und einladende Atmosphäre für Austausch und Feierlichkeiten entsteht.

Das Refugees Emancipation Community Center (RECC) ist eine Basisinitiative, die von Flüchtlingen für Flüchtlinge gegründet wurde. Seit seiner Gründung setzt sich RECC für die Förderung von Selbstorganisation, physischer und digitaler Inklusion sowie sozialer Stärkung von Flüchtlingsgemeinschaften in Brandenburg und darüber hinaus ein. Durch die Bereitstellung von Räumen für Lernen, Dialog, Zusammenarbeit und Leben fördert RECC die Verbindungen zwischen Flüchtlingen und Einheimischen und stärkt so das gemeinsame Engagement für Würde, Gleichberechtigung und Gemeindeentwicklung.
