Construction of a cruise ship at Meyer Werft, Germany. The construction hall was originally 384 m long, 125 m wide, and 75 m high, but later it was even extended to 504 m in length allowing Meyer Werft to construct the largest cruise ships in the world!

The Philip R. Clarke is a legendary Great Lakes freighter that has been traversing the waters for over 70 years. With a length of 767 feet (234ft) and the ability to carry up to 23,000 tons of cargo, the ship has played a vital role in the transportation of goods throughout the region. What sets the Philip R. Clarke apart is its historical significance as the first ship to introduce the game-changing self-unloading technology to the Great Lakes, revolutionizing the way that freighters operate on the waterways.

One of the craziest and most famous incidents involving the USS Missouri BB-63 occurred during the signing of the Instrument of Surrender that effectively ended World War II.

On September 2, 1945, the USS Missouri was chosen as the location for the signing ceremony, which was attended by high-ranking officials from the Allied and Japanese forces. As the signing took place on the ship's deck, one of the USS Missouri's gunners, named Robert Moore, decided to have a bit of fun.

Without warning, Moore fired a celebratory shot from one of the ship's guns, creating a loud explosion that startled everyone on board. The Japanese delegation was particularly shaken by the incident, fearing that the war had somehow restarted. The incident was quickly resolved, but it has become a legendary story associated with the USS Missouri and the end of World War II.

In a strange twist of fate, Robert Moore passed away on September 2, 2014, exactly 69 years to the day after firing the famous shot. His legacy lives on as a reminder of the incredible history and unique experiences associated with the USS Missouri BB-63.

Explosions under the Baltic Sea and the rupture of major natural gas pipelines from Russia to Germany appeared to be a deliberate attack, officials across Europe said on Tuesday, deepening uncertainty about European energy security amid soaring prices and fears of running short of fuel over the winter.Three separate leaks erupted from the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, sending swirling streams of methane to the surface of waters off Denmark and Sweden. Top Polish and Ukrainian leaders blamed Moscow, while Russian state media suggested U.S. or Ukrainian involvement.

The apparent attack had no immediate effect on European energy supplies; Nord Stream 2 has never gone into service, and Nord Stream 1 has been shut down since August. But it raises the stakes — and European jitters — in a simmering energy war between Russia and the West prompted by the invasion of Ukraine. Repairs could take up to several months, experts say, beginning with detailed inspections of the damage before any work could begin.

Continuous Ship Unloader (CSU) can unload materials by inserting serially arranged buckets into the ship and scooping up the materials. This type of unloader has excellent transport efficiency and stability. Its high cargo handling efficiency contributes to improving ship turnaround time and reducing shipping charges. The CSU’s are designed to unload ships ranging from 35,000 to
150,000 DWT at the design unloading rate of 1,500 t/h.
