Open to residents of Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, or France, 18-30 years old.

Summary:
In a world of complex challenges, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. In this Youth Exchange we explore how we can navigate today’s polycrisis together. We will focus on building a supportive community, cultivating a sense of belonging with each other and the earth, and discovering practical tools from the „Active Hope“ framework to transform our concern into meaningful, hopeful action.

Vom 𝟐𝟎. 𝐛𝐢𝐬 𝟐𝟗. 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 findet der 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐤𝐮𝐫𝐬 „𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧“ unserer norwegischen Partnerorganisation Beyond Borders in 𝐇ø𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐥, 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧 statt. 🏕️🇳🇴

Der Trainingskurs gibt hauptamtlichen Jugendarbeiter:innen sowie ehrenamtlichen Jugendleiter:innen (und denen, die es werden wollen) Tools an die Hand, um 𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫-𝐄𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐡𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐟ü𝐫 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞 in städtischen Gebieten umzusetzen. Dabei ermöglicht das Projekt eigene Lernerfahrungen, praktische Anleitungen und inhaltliche Unterstützung, um junge Menschen in ihrer Persönlichkeitsentwicklung und ihrer Verbindung zur Natur zu stärken.

Two weeks ago, we took part in the by , the event for all German participants of the in the last 12 months. 🔵⭐️ We had a stand at the engagement fair, where participants could learn more about EuroYouth e.V. and ask all kinds of questions about our .

We had a lot of fun and hope to see some of the group again in our projects or as a part of our team 💪.

🌍 Do you dream of discovering the world, getting to know new cultures and making friends from different countries? Then an international youth exchange could be just the thing for you! ✈❤

Here are the steps on how to apply for an international youth exchange:

1. Find the right program for you: Think about which topic and culture interests you. There are programs for almost every country in the world! 🌎 Search for exchange organizations such as EuroYouth eV.

2. Find out about the requirements: Each program has different requirements. Find out whether you need certain language skills or whether there is a minimum age requirement.

3. Register and prepare your documents: Prepare your application form, a short letter of motivation and possibly other documents such as school reports. Some programs also require an interview.

4. Be open to an adventure: A youth exchange is an opportunity to grow beyond yourself. Be prepared to make new friends and gain valuable experiences that will enrich your life. 🌍✨

From September 2 to 11, 2024, the SOLACE youth exchange took place at the EcoVillage Grain and Sens in Boffres, France. SOLACE, which stands for "Strengthening Our Lives Amidst Climate-related Ecological Challenges," aimed to foster eco-resilience within the group by addressing eco-anxiety. The program was inspired by Joanna Macy’s transformative framework, "The Work That Reconnects," which seeks to turn ecological grief into collective strength and proactive environmental engagement. Through this shared journey, participants worked together to build resilience in the face of challenges related to the modern world.
During the week a group of 20 participants from France, Slovakia, Netherlands and Germany followed a program filled with mindfulness and meditation workshops, sharing circles, nature walks, (self-)reflection, gardening and network and community building. Open space sessions provided opportunities for participants to exchange resources and skills, further enriching the collaborative learning experience and fostering deeper connections within the group.

Special thanks to Etti and Rosa for facilitating and guiding the group through this week, opening the space for experiencing and growing together.

In der Nacht von Samstag auf Sonntag wurde Marokko von einem Erdbeben erschüttert. In Taroudant, gerade mal 70 km vom Epizentrum entfernt, spürten unsere Partner*innen von der Association Assouar Assouar Taroudant أسوار تارودانت - ein engagierter Verein für Sport, Selbstentwicklung und Gemeinschaft für rund 50 Kinder - das Beben hautnah.
Nach Gesprächen mit unseren Freund*innen bei Assouar und im Verein war schnell klar, wir stehen in dieser Krise besonders zusammen. Deshalb starten wir einen Spendenmonat.
Mit deiner Hilfe kann Assouar den Kindern professionelle psychologische Unterstützung bieten, sodass sie nicht allein mit den Auswirkungen dieser Krise zurechtkommen müssen.
Bitte hilf uns dabei, bis zum 12.10.2023, diese dringende Unterstützung auf die Beine zu stellen. Um schnellstmögliche Hilfe zu leisten, werden Spenden während des Monats kontinuierlich nach Marokko weitergeleitet.

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, Morocco was struck by an earthquake. In Taroudant, just 70 km from the epicenter, our long-standing partners at Association Assouar Assouar Taroudant أسوار تارودانت- a dedicated association for sports, personal development, and community, serving about 50 children - felt the tremor firsthand.
After checking-in with our friends at Assouar and within the association, it became clear that we stand united, especially during this crisis. That's why we are launching a month-long fundraising campaign.
With your help, Assouar can provide the children with professional psychological support, ensuring they don't face the effects of this crisis alone.
Please assist us in setting up this urgent support by the 12th of October 2023. To provide immediate aid, donations will be continuously forwarded to Morocco throughout the month.

Was erinnert dich an deinen Auslandsaufenthalt?
Vor allem die Menschen, mit denen ich meinen Auslandsaufenthalt verbracht habe.

Was war dein schönster Auslandsaufenthaltsmoment?
Als wir als Gruppe von mehreren Freiwilig:innen den Teide erklommen haben.

Was verbindest du mit EuroYouth?
Eine Gruppe voll mit netten und weltoffenen Menschen, die anderen Menschen helfen wollen.
Was ist dein Aufgabenbereich bei EuroYouth?
Ich bin für Social-Media zuständig und habe die Ehre, als Schatzmeister gewählt worden zu sein und kümmere mich dabei um die finanziellen Aufgaben im Verein.

Welche Sprachen sprichst du?
Ich spreche Deutsch, Englisch und Spanisch. Ich habe zwar in der Schule auch Französisch gelernt, aber durch fehlende Praxis kann ich das leider nicht mehr sprechen. Vielleicht ergibt sich irgendwann nochmal die Chance, mein Französisch aufzufrischen.
