Our TwistBlock Training Center in Kibera is becoming a reality! ❤️

Right next to our Headquarter Factory, the new Training Center will become a place for learning, training, and creating new opportunities.

We’re excited to create a space where local communities, young architects, and engineers can learn and develop new skills in sustainable TwistBlock construction.

Great progress at Kibera Silanga Primary School!

After 3 months and more than 10.000 of TwistBlocks installed our team is currently in preparation for casting the 2nd-floor slab.

The conditions are challenging. With only a narrow, winding road leading to the site, everything needed for construction has to be carried in by hand.

Day by day, the building grows — and with every TwistBlock installed, we’re one step closer to creating a safe, inspiring learning environment and a brighter future for the children of Kibera Silanga!

We proudly present our recently completed affordable housing projects: 4 buildings with 90 housing units for more than 350 residents of Kibera.🏡

Developed in collaboration with Mtaa Five Star for the Livelihood Impact Fund, the project is another important step toward providing safe and dignified living spaces in informal settlements.
The projects were built with over 52,000 TwistBlocks produced in our local factories, demonstrating the impact of locally manufactured, sustainable building solutions in creating affordable housing opportunities. By producing materials locally, we strengthen local value chains, create economic opportunities, and enable shorter supply routes with reduced logistics efforts.
Through the Rent-to-Own model facilitated by LIF, residents have the opportunity to move toward secure homeownership.
Together with our partners, we are pursuing an ambitious vision: to accelerate the delivery of many more affordable housing projects and help create safe, dignified living environments for more communities.

We are excited to announce a wonderful new project in Kibera: the construction of the new Global One Senior School.

After completing the Global One Primary School in 2024, we are now taking the next step together by building a new school facility for the senior students of Global One.

The site clearing and excavation works have now been completed, and last week we were able to celebrate the official groundbreaking ceremony together — a great milestone as the project moves forward.

This project is made possible through the continued support of PERI, who also funded the construction of the Global One Primary School. PERI is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of formwork and scaffolding systems and the producer of the TwistBlock Mould.

We are looking forward to seeing this project come to life!

A New Chapter in Our Production Journey 🚀

Growth is about more than bigger facilities — it's about creating opportunities, improving efficiency, and empowering people.

We are proud to announce the successful transition of production operations from our Kibera West Factory to our new Headquarters Factory. This milestone has increased our production capacity to 600 TwistBlocks per day, enabling us to support the delivery of more affordable homes, schools, and community infrastructure while maintaining the quality our partners and communities rely on.

With this expansion, we are welcoming new team members, creating more employment opportunities, and providing our production teams with a larger, safer, and healthier working environment. We also introduced new production uniforms, uniting colleagues from our HQ and Kibera East factories under one shared identity.

A big thank you to our dedicated team whose hard work makes this growth possible every day. Together, we are building opportunities, strengthening communities, and advancing affordable housing solutions.

The foundation is complete!

A major milestone has been reached at the future Kibera Silanga Primary School in Nairobi: the foundation slab has been successfully completed, marking the end of the first construction phase and the start of the superstructure.

Over the past weeks, the team finalized the foundation beams, completed the substructure walls, carried out extensive filling and compaction works and poured the concrete floor slab. Despite challenging site conditions and a very narrow access route to the construction area, progress continued steadily thanks to the dedication of everyone involved.

What started with community meetings, planning sessions, and the signing of key agreements is now becoming a school that will provide children in Kibera with a safe and inspiring place to learn.

Safety starts with knowledge. 💪🏾

Last week, our production team participated in a workplace safety training in our new factory in Kibera. The focus was on proper equipment handling, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response, and maintaining a safe working environment.

By continuously equipping our team with safety knowledge and practical skills, we strengthen not only workplace wellbeing but also the quality and efficiency of our production operations.

A safe team is a productive team.
