Explore the dark side of creativity with Corinna M. Perchtold-Stefan from the University of Graz. Corinna studies how some people use their creativity in harmful ways—a topic called “malevolent creativity.” In this short interview, she explains how creative thinking can be used for lying, spreading false information, online bullying, and even clever crimes. She looks at what makes people more likely to act this way, including personality traits, feeling left out, strong anger, and a sense that something is unfair. Corinna also shares what her research has found so far—and why being more inclusive and understanding might help stop this kind of harmful behavior before it starts.
