Ahlul-Bayt Imamia Zentrum (also referred as 'AIZ Munich') was conceptualized by a small group of Shia Ithna 'Ashri members from India & Pakistan on June 30th, 2013. The ultimate purpose of AIZ Munich is to establish an exclusively Urdu & German speaking community center in the city of Munich, Germany serving the religious, spiritual and cultural needs of the current community of approximately 300
members. Since 2013, AIZ Munich has come a long way in organizing an average of 10 - 12 community programs/calendar year to over 30 this year, such as commemoration of birth and martyrdom anniversaries of the Holy 14 (AS), fortnightly Dua Kumayl, Summer Camps, BBQ's, Sports competitions etc. Currently, AIZ Munich does not have a Resident Alim and regularly invites scholars primarily from the U.K., and also from other European countries such as Norway, Belgium as well as Pakistan & Australia. In the near future, AIZ Munich desires to accomplish formation of its own community center to organize and set up regular community programs, weekend Islamic school for adults & children, sports facilities, camps and the like. AIZ's previous cabinet managed to officially register as a 'Verein' (club in German) and the current cabinet is striving to streamline the club's processes and obtaining a place for community center by the will of Allah (SWT) & the Holy 14 (AS). Without the support of each & every community member, AIZ Munich would not be progressing with the pace it has been since its conception.
